On the other hand, so many dubstep songs have that same progression, so it's difficult to narrow it down to one track.

I actually like Of Monsters and Men and do not really mind The Lumineers. My word of advice is stop listening to KROQ and you can hear artists as often or as little as you please.

Not listening to KROQ, I don't really understand all the derisive Alex Clare hate. The IE9 commercial gets annoying, okay I get that, but that ain't the dude's fault. I listened to his album a couple of times when that commercial first came out and it seemed pretty good to me. Not anything I felt the need to go back to, but it was an enjoyable listen and more importantly it was somebody doing quasi-dubstep with actual musical elements to it. Singer songwriter dubstep. Felt like a positive direction for an utterly shitty genre to go in.

Don't bag on one guy who's actually trying to write lyrics worth half a shit to go over his beats just because you're a bunch of assholes who actually listen to the radio in 2013.

Monsters and Men are actually a guilty pleasure for me.... prefer them over Mumford and the Lumineers. Ed Sharpe is still the best though.
