- The Postal Service
- Sigur Rós
- New Order
This is all in one night, and it's breaking my heart. I know I'm not going to be able to catch all of these. And I'm not even going to let myself pretend I'll be able to see any of Phoenix.

Reading the top three lines of Saturday went, "Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Maybe. Sure. Yes. Yes. Need to research. YES. Yes."
So in other words, fucking impossible. And then there is STILL Booka Shade, Violent Femmes, Simian, Major Lazer (sue me but I'm going to get my dancehall on), Spiritualized...holy hell...
With how stacked Friday is too, I see most of the 4th line happening early-to-late afternoon. There is just no other way to do it. Plus Japandroids, Local Natives, Metric, Divine Fits, Stars, Johnny Marr, Of Monsters and Men, all those acts can play day on the Main/Outdoor/Mojave easy, none need to be night, or even the evening.
I can't even see half the bands I want to see on Saturday. I will probably have to skip Phoenix, the xx, and maybe even New Order. Argh.
I miss talking to TomAz.
We all do. I live in the same city as him (unless he relocated) and rumor has it that at 3:15am if you listen closely and its really really quiet you can hear him telling you to go fuck yourself.
saturday is going to be rough. in a very, very good way.
Friday and Saturday are both rough. Especially Saturday (the xx, new order, sigur ros will all play in the evening and are virtually guaranteed to overlap somewhere, not to mention Spiritualized could be in the mix somewhere). I think the best you can hope for is Sigur Ros and the XX playing back-to-back as sub-headliners, and then New Order playing opposite Phoenix. Friday is out of control too, but at least it will be easier to prioritize. Grinderman better not conflict with the Roses/Blur. I'm guessing the YYYs close the outdoor, with Modest Mouse as the outdoor subhead.
can someone start the set times prediction shit
Hard to do without knowing the details of the extra stage.
phoenix, the xx, new order, hot chip, grizzly bear, cafe tacvba, foals, theophilus london !!!
Wish they swap a couple names from Friday/Saturday to the Sunday lineup.
yeah last year he kinda lagged it a little. now that the lineup is out all i'm thinking about is set times even though i won't have them for 3 months, the predictions are a fun game.
I haven't seen clumsy round these parts.
Boourns finished it up last year,.
I have fear that xanman will get impatient and try to do it for real, causing chaos of as yet unthinkable proportions.
Hoping Saturday daytime sets something like this...
Guards, Baauer, Action Bronson, Wild Nothing, Danny Brown, FOALS, Portugal the Man, the 2 Bears, Yeasayer, Major Lazer, Franz Ferdinand.
And night time sets like this...
SMD, Booka Shade, Knife Party, Moby, Bat for Lashes, Grizzly Bear, Hot Chip, The XX, New Order, Sigur Ros, The Postal Service, Phoenix.
God damn this will be hard!
I mean, honestly. What are the odds I'll get to see Phoenix, Sigor Ros, New Order, Hot Chip, Spiritualized and Booka Shade? That doesn't even include The XX, SMD, Postal Service, and others I'd like to see. Uggh.
So that puts them on at what, 8pm? Roses will play from 9:30 - 10:45 or so. Blur from 11:15 - 1. So who is the outdoor headliner? I think the YYY's are probably the third biggest name on Friday. You have to go back to 2010 to find a friday healiner who didn't make way for an EDM act. Then Vampire Weekend and PiL played on the Outdoor opposite Jay-Z.
