A gray beach
The Himalayas w/ sherpa
I listened to it in a melancholic mood in a bubble bath with somber candles lit. What did I do wrong?
Then I tried listening to it while kickboxing in the middle of a lazer light tag arena. Still didn't click.
How somber were the candles?
They had frowny faces.
Did you have them put the album on the loud speakers at the laser tag place? Or just headphones?
Headphones, and I was blindfolded.
I placed 5th out of 17, an impressive feat considering I was quite focused on my kick boxing and blindfolded Blake-listening.
I'm going rogue from the RZA predictions and calling a Bon Iver appearance. That RZA track is a stain on an otherwise great album for me. Also, did anyone scope the deluxe edition? The bonus track "Every Day I Ran" is a disgrace to all things pleasurable. James needs to stay away from his hip hop leanings if those two tracks are any indication of his ability.
The album is a solid 3/5. He played it too safe.
hes streaming his performance right now. in london.
Come on, this will be a blast live.
nvrmnd, u guise.
His music live is quite different from the recordings. They are much more dance friendly. He's great live. Really excited to see him play this new stuff.
anything could happen
Fair enough. It's better than a lot of shit. Way better.
But it's still pretty boring.
I want to like it. I do. But why should it have to be that much work? It's not like he's fucking Merzbow or Orthrelm or someone who's fun to be challenged by. He's just a sad English bro. With an amazing voice. That he's fallen into using way, way too much on every song.
1 Coachella before I got sober, 7 since. I support both versions. If you wanna do the sober version, roll with us:

Rza came out with James Blake. Enjoy
Highlight of my day
RZA was a nice suprise!
There was an insane moment when James lyrics mentioned light, and then the sun peaked though the tent's opening. Security began to hose down the audience with misters and a huge rainbow appeared in front of the stage. It was surreal.
This rework is very nice. https://soundcloud.com/xlr8r/james-b...ife-round-here
