I feel like Sunday is weak, like Kanye West headlining weak...
How did Paul Oakenfold get in there? Did he pay GV to play?
If any of you are unsatisfied and would like to dish a Weekend 1 ticket at face value, PM me. Cheers.
The Last time that Coachella didn't sell out was in 2008 and the lack of crowds was fantastic. With all the initial hate for the lineup so far, I'm crossing my fingers for another Chill 2008.
It won't happen. Coachella is cool now. It's become a place where you can take pictures and post them on your instagram, twitter, and facebook so your friends can be jealous.

Headliners are pretty weak Sunday overall is weak to.. Dope lineup though still the best festival around. Also I think a handful of other acts performing could have been bigger headliners then what we have on Friday I though that move was really strange.
Also I know this is random but no Joey Bada$$? Lol wanted to see him.

Some of the undercard acts are really good. J5, WuTang, Lord Huron, Eric Prydz, BookaShade.. But overall the lineup feels like a complete re-tread of Coachella past. And the EDM lineup is pretty pedestrian... I would still go if I lived 10 miles away. Friday with the Blur / StoneRoses sounds fun. RHCP = meh.. Phoenix is not headliner material.

The agent for the Stone Roses needs an award.
I agree.
My point is that they forced everyone to buy a ticket last year and then release a lineup that would have a hard time selling out. I think it is a pretty fucked up tactic that made them a lot of money. Id wager that 75% of ticketholders are mainstream music fans that are horrified with this lineup.
Also, if rhcp is a "backup" headliner, what other backup headliners cancelled to give blur and pheonix that status.

GV forced people to buy passes? Like with a gun to the head of each and every customer? Didn't realize the power they had.
Guess one thing we have learned is that you like to make shitty wagers.
So if i wanted to go to coachella in 2013 i disnt need to try and buy a pass 7 months before a lineup came out?

Hi Grannock,
look I don't know anything about you, but I can understand if you had been going the last few years for the Marquee names like Dr. Dre and Snoop , etc. and being disappointed with the line up. I can understand that. With that in mind, please understand that GV also does its best to line up acts to A) keep everyone happy B) sell the festival. No, GV didn't save money on headliners to add to their bottom line. Truth is a lot of major acts either weren't available, weren't ready or just said no (your Smiths and David Bowies and what not). That being said, this line up is closer to its original incarnation of being more "indie" minded. If you look back you'll notice the tread starting in 2006 of the line up becoming more mainstream. So this line up is merely going to its roots. No, it wont make a lot of mainstream music goers happy but it will still sell out and attract a large audience. And I can guarantee if you end up going, you'll still have an amazing time and find new music to love. So, give it some thought, I've been going since 2001.
