7 more weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Would a song like Parklife go over well at Coachella, or would it seem like an annoying novelty song?
Hoping for badhead myself. Yes, terrible oral. Friday is so incredible.
Hope they do it though, last time I saw them they did it to close their main set and it was great. This was in the 90s mind you.
Phil Daniels confirmed today on BBC Radio 2 that he'll be on stage with Blur for 'parklife' at Coachella..... get some exercise!
Come a long long, come a long long way
Blur are getting a 85 minute set next weekend at Vive Latino
Hopefully they get the same or something close to that at Coachella
An 85 min. set would be great. Realistically though, I'm guessing something more akin to the Strokes' 65 min. 'co-headlining' set in 2011. Hope I'm wrong.
Maybe it's wishful thinking but the fact that they are bringing Phil Daniels out for this leads me to believe that they are gong to be pulling out all the stops and they will be getting more then a 65 minute set.
Phil Daniels' presence doesn't mean anything more than the fact that he'll be joining them for "Parklife."
Well yeah but did he join them at their Euro fest shows last year?
No clue. And I don't see how a "yes, no, or maybe so" would imply anything about the length of their Coachella set. More logically, Blur views their big-stage return to the US as a BIG DEAL, regardless the length of the set, and wants to do it as well as they can.
Damon has stated in numerous interviews that the Gorillaz' performance at Coachella was one of the brightest moments in his career. I fully expect Blur's show to match it...if not surpass it as one of their more iconic [US] shows ever.
Hopefully the audience is more satisfied with this one. So many complaints about both the gorillaz and the last blur Coachella appearance. I was happy with both, personally, but I am apparently in the minority.
February 8 - Lamb of God/Anthrax/Deafheaven/Power Trip
February 13 - Black Sabbath
March 3 - Sumac
March 23 - Abbath/High On Fire/Skeletonwitch/Tribulation
March 24 - David Gilmour

April 30 - Levitation
May 13 - The Cure
July 19 - Dragged Into Sunlight
Eh I really don't want to beat those horses any further.
I have faith in Blur, because they are a classic 4 piece rock band. They are most in their element at a fest like coachella, or at least that's what I hope.
DRUGS ON KIDS
I guess I'm in the minority with Ed, although I didn't see Blur at Coachella in 2003. However I did see Blur on that tour, and they were fantastic. I loved Think Tank and think it was one of their better albums.
