Amazing. The trolling just gets better and better.
the single has been all over my facebook. spotify even sent me a notification that it is now available. how sweet of them.
Definitely saw that on Spotify. Available for offline mode as well.
I could easily see these guys at the Grammys performing with Nile Rodgers and Pharrell.
I also heard that Daft Punk is opening for Portishead at the Palladium in September. Right, Chris?
Get Lucky is pretty sweet. Rodgers makes the song imo
Or what if they do the usual DJ set up with a new lavish light show, but for the last 15 to 30 minutes of the show, the stage changes a bit and live instruments are used and what not.
Or a live band aspect is used in the middle of the show (as the 2nd act). After the live band segment is done, go back to the DJ set in another sort of way for the 3rd act. Curtains close with some sort of visual projection as a distraction. Or if they have the drop down LED mesh screens like Nine Inch Nails did for LITS tour...
I dunno. Just day dreaming.

As much as I was fed up with hearing about DP at Coachella, these guys really are masters. They could have just done a cheap, wompy, cash-in record when the EDM explosion happened, but instead they went the other way and did an old-school, analog disco-funk album featuring musical legends from multiple generations. I have gained a lot of respect for them, despite the marketing blitz, and can't wait to hear this album already.

While walking around Santa Barbara today a brohammer cruised past in his convertible Corvette blasting this song. This is going to be the new "Fuck You," or "Hey Ya," a song you are sick of after a month because its inescapable.
Neat. Sort of singing over the track.
Song of the summer for sure
