Interesting that they moved it to Saturday/Sunday. After going to the last two, this one will be more lineup dependent. But If they keep the same setup with a discoteque, i'll most likely be there. Early guess is a Gesaffelstein LIVE headlining one night.
Last year was fun. I'm in!
Down for another dirtybird stage! Discotheque is awesome.
I emailed some booker or manager listed for Ed Banger about Justice playing Bonnaroo or Sasquatch and got this back:
As far as I know they will not.
I think they might do HARD in August in LA.
But this is for a DJ SET.
No more LIVE shows like at Red Rocks in 2013. I am really sorry
They will first make a new album, then come back with a new live show.
I must have looked as if I were a diseased creature. Covered in cigarette cartons like bird shit, smeary colored face, drinking wine out of a pair of sweat pants. A dead baby hung off the side of my head -- crying to get high on smokes and glue.

2013 Wishlist
OUTKAST, Black Hippy, Ryan Hemsworth, Pleasurekraft, Shlohmo, TNGHT, Action Bronson, Flylo/Captain Murphy, Jamie xx, DJ Funeral, Lone, Cashmere Cat, De La Soul, Chief Keef, Flosstradamus,
i'd put money on them being there. new album and all
Can someone link a source on the new Soulwax album's possible release? I remember there was a tweet a few months back about James Murphy and the Dewaele brothers being in the studio but haven't heard anything since then.
Edit: Just saw the Sat/Sun thing, which I think totally sucks. Who wants to be out at a rave on a Sunday night with work the next day. Not to mention I have to assume the noise codes will prevent it from going past 12, maybe earlier. I don't get that move at all.

I care.
And I'm a wait on the lineup and if they sell single day passes. Last year pissed me off making me buy 2 days when I only wanted one then to sell one day passes right before the event. I ended up selling my 2nd day but still it was a hassle.
yeah i missed that sat/sun change. dont understand that at all.

i just saw mike simonetti tweet about how awesome the new tracks sounded at soulwaxmas (he was an opener)
Last year i bought my ticket at the $99 level and only went on Friday. When the prices were up at $70+ fees for single day tix the week of, i was able to arrange for someone to meetup Saturday morning to buy the pass for $60. I agree it is a hassle, but i'd rather have the 2 day pass in hand at $100. If i end up loving the lineup and i'd be shelling out more or spending $70+fees for just 1 day.
It was better when they issued 2 individual tickets (like what Coachella used to do), but I guess HARD (just like Coachella) is trying to find any way to force people into going all days, hence not selling single day tix off the bat.
This is beyond awesome to hear. Love that DFA/Soulwax sound and they're long overdue for some new material. With Skrillex, Boys Noize and Justice seemingly (and hopefully) out of the running for headliner, I can't even think of that many other possibilities other than Soulwax/2ManyDJs. Major Lazer? Maybe Gary gets Modeselektor to come back, but I doubt they're very popular with most the Hard crowd.
I really hope they still have the $99 early bird tickets. Even if the lineup blows you can unload it at cost with ease and $50 per day for even a solid artist or 2 is a steal these days.

Soulwax is always a treat, and one that would definitely get me there.
You're too kind.
I had also emailed about Modeselektor in regards to Roo/Sasquatch and got this back:
modeselektor don't play any us festivals this year, sorry----
good luck for your little girl though, she'll have bass in her venes for sure
