Sooooo down for Rhye
Sooooo down for Rhye
*darn you Macca and your mega payday!!! at this point, I hope he gets a 5 hour set so my only trekking that day will be to beer lands and the food tents.
I love the adds! Fuck yeah
I find the end of the last tweet very interesting.
This has an oddly similar tone to the tweet when Coachella released the set times and complained about agents. This can't have been what they were planning to release when they announced that they were going to add 4 bands. Something must have happened.ranger dave has added @baauer, @Rhyemusic, @GRIZMUSIC and @CHERUBlamusica to this year's lineup. don't hate the player, hate the game.
Rhye is really great. Excited about them.
Hoping that Rhye is a part of the night show series.
2/19: Intergalactic Gary, Octo Octa @ Audio
2/20: Cloud Nothings, Itasca, Never Young, Kid Trails@ The Independent
2/21: Weyes Blood, Half Waif, 20 Minute Loop, Young Moon @ Swedish American Hall
2/22: Uniform, Black Marble, Mall Walk, Blank Square @ Starline Social Club
2/23: Japanese Breakfast, Miya Folick, Dante Elephante, Flying Circles @ Rickshaw Stop
2/23: Julien Baker @GAMH
Then again Ranger Dave can't even get the right twitter account for Griz, so maybe it's just complete incompetence.
The end of that tweet had to mean something...maybe there's something big coming. Who knows?
But I'm really happy about Rhye. That made my day.

why cant we get empire of the sun?
Has anyone seen Rhye?
Well can't say I'm surprised about the adds they announced. I said it earlier but anyone that was expecting a mid card add or higher was living a dream. I mean they still might make some but thankfully it isn't anyone that I would have seen to begin with so I'm not going to miss much. I am excited to check out Rhye though as all the talk have been positive about them.

Griz. Fuck yeah. Who the hell is this "Rhye" everyone speaks of?
I think Rhye will get Washed Outs slot from last year... Which would be fine with me. Of course, crowd control is a different problem.
They would be so lucky and probably complain the sun was out.
Rhye does indeed like the dark. I was at their Boiler Room and they requested all the lights to be off except for a few behind them so that they could be back lit and no one would see their faces. Seems like every band nowadays wants to be mysterious.
Fog is better.
the busy bee has no time for sorrow.
I think that small stage by winelands would be a good stage for Rhye. No one camps out all day at that stage so the people who will be there are more likely be attentive. Put them there right before or overlapping the beginning of the headliners.
