I've tried taking Caltrain to Shoreline - how do you get from Caltrain to Shoreline? Bike? I've tried taxi but ended up getting stuck in traffic for a long while. We got out and walked but it was kind of a long walk through areas that were not very pedestrian friendly.
The new arena isn't going to be where Candlestick is, if that's what I think you're saying.
Havent been keeping up the last few months but I think the Warriors Arena is supposed to go up on Pier 30-32
Regarding the Warriors venue, the Giants are currently trying to nix all plans for that arena going up, they want to be the only sports franchise on the water apparently.
Oh, cool. When I read the plans about the development to go in where Candlestick is, they mentioned a sports arena that would double as a music venue. I just re-read that article, and though it mentioned the warriors, it said it's more likely to be for soccer or something. At this point it is expected to be used as a music venue though... so maybe we will have two more large venues in the next 5+ years.
What about Florence and the Machine? They have pretty muched played every other major US festival and are playing Rock In Rio september. Or maybe John Mayer? looks like he is playing some festivals this year
Oddly, the Coke Live Music Festival site has Florence as the only artist thus far.
Florence and Hot Chip would be amazing to see at OSL. Although, I feel like I read that she wasn't planning on touring much during 2013. I hope I'm wrong, though.
What are the chances of Tegan & Sara playing??
They're playing Osheaga with a gap between that and the continuation of their co/headlining tour with Fun. in Denver on Aug. 21st.
First time going to Coachella this year!
you people are terrible at speculating.
Don't many festivals share many of the same bands, though?
Based off the Osheaga lineup, I'd love to see: Porter Robinson, Pretty Lights, The Cure, Vampire Weekend, Two Door Cinema Club.
OSL better having have Crystal mother fucking Castles!!!

Given more festival announcements from Nine Inch Nails, can we put them in the rumored category on the first post? I think OSL would at least try and get them for this year.
I'd like to see the Giants 2012 World Series trophy make a stop at the festival again, just like it did in 2011. Not sure if any you on here are fans, but when my wife and I tried to see the 2010 trophy during it's proper "tour" and we went to City Hall, the wait was so long they cut off the line. In addition, they charged for photos and in between every Giants logo was a Visa logo on the backdrop behind the trophy. But at OSL, it quietely sat in the tent where StubHub had set up, no logos on the backdrop, and StubHub didn't charge for the pics and even took our camera and took some pics for us. So if you're reading this Ranger Dave and APE... bring the 2012 Giants World Series trophy to Golden Gate Park!
LETS GO GIANTS!! CLAP CLAP CLAPCLAPCLAP!! LETS GO GIANTS!! CLAP CLAP CLAPCLAPCLAP!!
I liked the little sports bar they used to have at OSL. i remember going in there having some beers and watching a little of the 49ers pre season game
