Yeah, this will be my sixth bonnaroo and I've never talked to anyone that wasn't camping. I think it's a pretty essential part of the experience. Also, I can't imagine how much of a pain in the ass it is to trudge out and in every morning to/after a long drive (I think all the hotels in a 30 mile radius sell out like 9 months in advance...)
So people go on at like 3 am and shit right?
I've hit sunrise twice at Bonnaroo. In 2007, Sasha & Digweed played from 1:30-6:00ish, and in 2008 Kanye West started his set around 4:30 am.
Wait there's a beach at Roo?
I don't think we are going to totally even unpack from Coachella to get ready to head East for some fests. Life is great. Coachella to Roo meetup we still should set up ... cr****

Man, what an incredible line-up. They did the damn thing this year. Really wish I could go - I turn 30 on that Sunday.
Sunday is cool down mode for me too. Tom Petty closing it down will be great. He played there in 2006 (only year I went to Roo).
I remember paying $3 for a shower at a local's house nearby. The shower was a board-enclosed area with a garden hose slung over the top of the boards. Unlimited time, cool water; it was so refreshing and peaceful. I really want to make it back there.. GF is holding me back just a bit.
Man, incredible schedule.
I have been to Bonnaroo before, and this year was my first Coachella. I gotta admit, the 50 minute sets bummed me out a decent amount. I love how Bonnaroo has the freedom to schedule late night and ability to give acts like the XX, Grizzly Bear and Beach House 75-90 minutes instead of 50, while headliners play full 2:00-2:30 sets.
I wish this would partly change at Coachella, but can't see it happening.
Then again, if you don't like pop-folk, the Bonnaroo unconflicting scheduling means there's almost no music for you for a good 3 hours on Saturday night.
Definite positives and negatives with each type of scheduling.
yeah, again they make the schedule impossible to see partial sets. At least Animal collective is on late finally.
