Nice pics by Tim! Enjoy
Just to let everyone know Saturday night totally made up for that morning. They had fixed almost every problem by the time Boris came on.
Once again, a great time was had. My two buddies and I really enjoyed this one the most out of the last three. Being outdoors helped with the atmosphere, and we didn't have any issues. (since we didn't camp or take the shuttle) I took a bunch of pictures and videos, and will be finally uploading them tonight, so I'll share with you guys.
What was your favorite set of the festival??
Mine would probably be the Black Ryder in the rain... was right up against the stage and loving every second of that downpour. It made my Nikon useless for about 18 hours, but it was worth it.
A close second would be this:
2/24 - Swans = 2/26 - Corners = 3/1 - Sleater-Kinney = 3/8 - the Church = 3/16 - Swervedriver = 4/4 - Tobacco = 4/10-12 - Coachella 1
4/14 - Jenny Lewis = 4/15 - the War on Drugs = 4/17-19 - Coachella 2 = 4/21 - Protomartyr = 5/8-10 - Levitation Austin = 5/14 - the Antlers = 7/17-19 - Pitchfork
Kaleidoscope was one of the those bands I didn't expect much from but completely blew me away. I was expecting something minimal/experimental for some reason, but it was more 60's psych-Brit pop. The rain falling during "The Sky Children" turned into one of those quintessential festival moments for me. It was really quite the spectacle.
Man or Astro Man? were also unexpectedly awesome. I've always dug their music, but their live show was incredible.
