Last year was the first year I hadn't gone in five years, and I really missed it... so I'm in.
    2/24 - Swans = 2/26 - Corners = 3/1 - Sleater-Kinney = 3/8 - the Church = 3/16 - Swervedriver = 4/4 - Tobacco = 4/10-12 - Coachella 1
    4/14 - Jenny Lewis = 4/15 - the War on Drugs = 4/17-19 - Coachella 2 = 4/21 - Protomartyr = 5/8-10 - Levitation Austin = 5/14 - the Antlers = 7/17-19 - Pitchfork

Well, they raised the price finally. Hopefully theyre booking D'Angelo one of the days. Fair to say they could be waiting for Sleater Kinney to play in Chicago in a couple weeks before posting a line up with their name on it with whoever else.

lol. Selling tickets before the lineup. No early bird specials. What, do they think they're coachella or somethjng?!

They did it a couple years ago, and it had layaway included, so its not that odd.

Yeah you're saving almost $50 over the each day price x3, and there's a subscription to the "Pitchfork Review" included... whatever the hell that is.

    Here's hoping for a Sleater-Kinney headlining day...
    2/24 - Swans = 2/26 - Corners = 3/1 - Sleater-Kinney = 3/8 - the Church = 3/16 - Swervedriver = 4/4 - Tobacco = 4/10-12 - Coachella 1
    4/14 - Jenny Lewis = 4/15 - the War on Drugs = 4/17-19 - Coachella 2 = 4/21 - Protomartyr = 5/8-10 - Levitation Austin = 5/14 - the Antlers = 7/17-19 - Pitchfork

Its a quarterly magazine theyve been putting out for a year now. Its really nice actually. I think Sleater ends up 2nd billed one of the days.

went last year for first time and had a great time. Weather was wonderful, but seems like that was a one-off. will be back if lineup is strong

I went ahead and bought a Sunday pass as opposed to a 3 day because all the bands I want to see are that day.

Dude, you might have been looking at 2014's schedule...

Yes, but with no magazine subscription.

Since I'm now committed to ATP Iceland, I'll be sitting out this fest this year.
We're here to play some Mississippi Delta Blues. We're in a horrible depression, and I gotta admit - we're starting to like it.

for once he has a point, which is it's completely stupid to offer single day passes with no bands announced.

it's really bizarre considering they've had beck, bjork, and r. kelly the past two years.

Hopefully S-K will play Detroit in July/Aug then. LOL at offering a free Pitchfork magazine subscription. They'd have to pay me to read that garbage.

Where do you see the hints? Those are some pretty weak headliners

There will be a little crossover.

But I wouldnt be surprised at Frank Ocean or Purity Ring being on the bill. Viet Cong is probably a lock for both fests since theyre on Jajaguar. Hoping they get D'Angelo to close out Sunday. The War On Drugs either ends up at this fest or Lolla.

Ill be waiting for Gossip Wolf to say something in their weekly column this week from the Chicago Reader, they usually get a few names right before it drops.

I can see Frank Ocean headlining but Spoon and TWOD? Come on heart cooks brain....

Crossover from Forecastle: Desaparecidos, Speedy Ortiz, Jeff the Brotherhood? Maybe Modest Mouse again???

    4/1 Bjork @ City Center
    4/2 Xiu Xiu @ Merkin
    4/4 Damien Rice @ Beacon
    4/4 Daniel Bell/Arma 17 @ Blkmarket

Purity Ring is playing Riviera on June 8th in Chicago.

I know, spoke too soon. Oh well. Crossover from Forecastle is probably Tallest Man On Earth, iLovemakkonen and Alvvays.

they've elevated other acts that were questionable. feist, for instance. and spoon has headlined before.

Wilco looks like they could be one of the headliners with the July dates they just announced today. Makes sense they would like another Chicago act be at the top this year.

I thinks it's infinitely more likely they play bon iver fest in wisconsin. they just played 5 or 6 shows in Chicago in december.

Ok, so that takes them out of the equation because it was so many shows? Theyve done those residencies for a few years now, its nothing random or rare at this point.
