Pardon the interruption, do they sell single-day tickets to this?

I miss talking to TomAz.
We all do. I live in the same city as him (unless he relocated) and rumor has it that at 3:15am if you listen closely and its really really quiet you can hear him telling you to go fuck yourself.
No way! I don't think you two will have any balls to sneak anything in! Those security guards will find Zack's bagged whiskey! Good luck
Now go have some free jello shots this weekend from my awesome Tiki friends!

I usually book a room near LAX and just drive to the fest. I usually get a rate around $85/night for a 4 star hotel. I've never had a problem finding free parking near the fest. I would recommend this to anyone who will be driving and just wants a quiet place to sleep, but not recommended if you're looking for an after party.
This ain't no middle of the mall shit.
I'm just gonna jump in here and say I stand by guedita's methods. A warm flask of bulleit is damn alright by me. Mint juleps step the class up a notch, although you ARE losing some of that precious ABV. Maybe just a Manhattan for me...
It's getbetter's method, actually, that he has executed with success at FYF, Coachella, and many concerts for years. Spooks just felt like being paternalistic.

Last year I snuck in a handled of Evans Willams between the two days....It was very obvious and I was shocked both days that I could walk it like that.If I got caught oh well ....there goes $7 worth of cheap whiskey.
Yup, it worked out quite easily. And, miracle of miracles, you can mix whiskey with ice cold lemonade and have ice cold, delicious whiskey lemonade.
And I don't know what you're talking about with losing ABV. My mint julep recipe is almost solely bourbon. There is a SLIGHT bit of simple syrup, so, sure, it'll go down a tad, but really it'll only be a negligible amount.
Don't forget those muddling (see what I did there?) mint leaves.
But you're right, it's a pretty negligible difference in ABV.
Any word on what kind of beer they sell there?
Last year i believe it was Heineken and Newcastle

How big were the cups?
People always bitch about the price of beer without properly quantifying it... And sometimes it's not as big a deal as they're making it out to be (ex. every time I hear people make a big deal of a $14 beer at the Palladium, while neglecting to acknowledge that it's a 24 ounce cup... so you're essentially paying $7 per "beer".)
(not saying that your comments aren't justified... just trying to have my expectations set appropriately)
What people fail to realize is that FYF posts all sorts of "news" that has nothing to do with the fest itself. It's promotional company as well as a festival.

Hoping for an MBV pre-show.
They're playing Day 2, so perhaps it could happen on Saturday. Or has FYF abandoned pre/after-shows altogether?
Don't listen to the guy who's imitating the guy who thinks he knows everything. Whether or not its possible, FYF is not likely going to give up on their side-shows related to the fest. They've done them as long as its been a large festival and there's no reason for them to go away now.
True, though a late night show of one of the headliners on the night of the fest seems unlikely. Not exactly the same thing as Lightning Bolt and Suicide of Western Culture playing an after party.
