Sure they did Outside Lands, but by next year Neil and Crazy Horse could definitely have a whole new show to debut at Coachella with his recent pace. Bring the best living legend to the Polo Fields.
I caught them last night. Coachella for sure cr****

I feel like this would be a somewhat lazy booking, considering how many events they have been playing recently. However, I would still watch and thoroughly enjoy myself.
4/15: Tama Sumo @ Seattle
4/25: Rolling Coastal Blackout Fever, Sloucher @ The Crocodile
4/27-30: Stagecoach
5/16: Mount Kimbie @ Neumo's
5/25-27: Sasquatch
Ok, maybe lazy isn't the right word. Just sloppy seconds from various 2012 festivals.
Yes please. They are killing it right now.
Watching that man drunkenly strum the same chord for 15 minutes straight was worth every second

mikey, who do you want to headline coachella next year?
April 24 - Queens of the Stone Age
April 26-28 - Levitation
I don't have many realistic ideas. Pearl Jam is the only one that seems likely for the most part.
oh and I wasn't joking about the drunken strumming being worth it. It was actually pretty great

Too bad Andre 3000 thinks he's more actor than rapper now.
http://showscoop.com - Tour Reviews, Concert Reviews, and rate how bands perform live.
Can't remember the source for this, but I heard that Young (solo) got offered a sub-headlining spot a couple years back and he turned it down because he wanted to headline. Can anybody validate my incomplete memory?
I remember that being discussed as well but I have no idea whether or not it was true.

He would have been right to do so. Neil Young is nothing less than a headliner.
I was just listening to an audience recording of his Glastonbury set from a few years ago the other day and that 16 minute version of "Down by the River" is something everyone should experience live.
Seriously. There's no reason he shouldn't headline when bands/artists like Jack Johnson, the Black Keys, Kings of Leon, and etc are doing it.
Anyway....they're going down under for the first time in over a decade!

i was going to say normally i dont support dino-rock unless its very legit (mccartney, waters, wonder) but dispite his age neil is anything but dino-rock.

I saw a solo acoustic show where he was second last on the bill a couple years ago. Buffalo Springfield was 5th on the bill bill for Bonnaroo 2011.
I'm seeing him for the 5th time on Sunday. I dont think the solo shows are headline material. While i think his full band shows are headline material a strong sub might be needed. Coachella skews young and like their pretty light shows. Plus he's headlined some smaller festivals in the past year that dilutes the cache slightly.
