Maybe because the line up isn't ready?!?! Historically, the line up usually drops the END of January. We were just lucky the last few years.
Especially since they have to BOOK EVERYONE FOR TWO FUCKING WEEKENDS WITH RADIUS CLAUSES ETC ETC.
Sure they had 2 weekends last year but also didn't have to deal with SS Coachella and making sure they live up to the media hype of 2012's festival closer.
True, but Coachella draws a large audience from overseas that may otherwise not attend if certain acts are easier to see in there own country.
Not to be an ass but can you prove this? What is the exact percentage? Because I can easily say 90% of their audience comes from LA and SD. What a festival does in the states or in Japan or in Europe has no bearing when another festival announces their line up.

i sent him a facebook message about the lineup. i was just fucking around but he took his chat offline immediately. iwrote him back apologizing for being a doucher and thanked him for putting all this hard work into coachella. no further communications have transpired.
Definitely not, just based on my experiences when meeting people at the festival (and a lot of US festivals). Just in my opinion it is plausible that IF Coachella did in fact have Daft Punk booked, that they would want there poster to be the first worldwide to have them billed. Just a theory.
