Yeah, the tent was always pretty full when the cheese was on.
Agreed. I didn't go over there once though... I'd like to see a Richie Hawtin set in there for the soundsystem and visuals.
That was the reason I was most pissed with Sahara. We didn't get to use that awesome soundsystem.
GV will "alleviate" the whole EDM quality in the Sahara this year by throwing out Paul Kalkbrenner, Disclosure, Claude Von Stroke, and oh I dunno Damian Lazarus for early afternoon sets. Shitty cheese shit will still play in there in the evenings. It will remain mostly unimpressive.
This is true. It's just sort of a shame because the Sahara is such a good tent for something ridiculously impressive.
http://www.inthemix.com.au/news/intl..._new_live_show no moar cube, for now. wonder what he's gotten accomplished since august, beyond >atgh<
EDIT: Zack DID talk to Paul T and Gary Tovar, but they DIDN'T talk about the Coachella line up. Anything he heard on the SS Coachella was from random GV employees who may or may not know anything about who is or isn't booked.
In other words, THERE IS NOTHING TO SEE HERE. (It's probably too late for this, but whatever.)
So is there anything I have missed in the last couple of days?
Coachellas attended: 2007-present
Even if it's just the Stones and no Daft Punk, I can still see GV tapping YYYs to headline.
So, can YYYs headline?
Really sad about no Blur, but The Stones news is fucking huge.
Might have to travel to Europe to see Blur this year
Really bummed about no Daft/Blur. I'd be fucking pumped if Outkast gets billed now that people have kinda given up on the idea of them performing anytime soon.
Stone Roses------> Green Day
YYY's-------------> Rolling Stones
