Fuckuschella
If it's Daft Punk/The Killers/The Rolling Stones who is the hip hop headliner?
4/15: Tama Sumo @ Seattle
4/25: Rolling Coastal Blackout Fever, Sloucher @ The Crocodile
4/27-30: Stagecoach
5/16: Mount Kimbie @ Neumo's
5/25-27: Sasquatch
But I guess we finally got radiohead last year (2 weekends, no less) so GV probably figures " ahh fuck 'em."
MUSE isn't playing.
"why are you so annoying" TheKlein25
I mean, who is the hip hoppiest/rappiest of those three headliners?
4/15: Tama Sumo @ Seattle
4/25: Rolling Coastal Blackout Fever, Sloucher @ The Crocodile
4/27-30: Stagecoach
5/16: Mount Kimbie @ Neumo's
5/25-27: Sasquatch
COACHELLA 2017
DAFT PUNK... Ronald Jenkees! The Prodigy! Faithless! Groove Armada Live! Underworld! London Elektricity! (live set) Future Sound of London! DJ Yoda (DVJ Set!) Dillinja and Lemon D w/ the Valve Soundsystem, Ed Solo & Deekline! Dizzee Rascal!
You're right. I don't know what I'm talking about. I certainly am not friends with anyone in the band or anything. You have an excellent understanding of their working process from their twitter photo shares, which are entirely inconsistent with what I've said. It makes it wholly unnecessary to share with you this article and its reference to their playing unrecorded songs a year ago - http://www.rollingstone.com/music/ne...tlist-20120119 - or the one about Aaron Dessner's recent production of the Local Natives record out in a few weeks.
Aaron is far from the only bandmember to be busy with other projects. You will see Bryce's work with Sufjan and Nico Muhly at that LA Phil show 4/22, plus the brothers' Crossing Brooklyn Festival in Brooklyn 4/25-27 (and, presumably, their MusicNOW Festival in Cincinnati this Spring), and at the Barbican in London 5/10-12. What you will not see around that time is a new National record or tour.
Billed as The Killaz

When Sade toured in 2011, she played 3 nights at Staples Center, 2 nights at Honda Center, Chula Vista, Vegas, etc.
She probably sold 150,000 tickets within 300 miles of Indio.
Which makes her more of a draw than anybody rumored to play Coachella this year.
No, she won't be playing.
The urbans are going to riot otherwise.
Maybe Sade will be the special guest hip hop headliner

By reading the boards....it seems all a Coachella headliner has ever done the last 3 years is disappoint.
This has probably been said to death, but has such a collection of album releases and tour/reunion announcements (read as: actually legitimate indicia of an act's potential for playing) of so many acts that get requested ad nauseum ever happened this close to lineup time? Admittedly, the end result is more likely to be Disappointmentchella than Dreamchella.
I'd like to see a list of your favorite artists/bands (you can name like 5) and your version of Dreamchella. I would be intrigued....
The Claude Von Stroke/Daft Punk conflict is going to suuuuuuuuck
