I don't necessarily think they are ready to headline, nor do I really call myself a fan. I'm just saying it wouldn't shock me to see them headline after Jack Johnson/Portishead in '08 and The Black Keys coming back this year. Regardless of what the board thinks, Goldenvoice may have an entirely different opinion, especially if The Rolling Stone really are playing and are blowing a ton of their budget on them.
Let me put it this way, I don't think they'll headline but I wouldn't bet money on that.
Sorry for the hard left turn here but has Portishead been discussed at all or on anybody's radar?
Sorry but comparing TBK coming back last year to Yeah Yeah Yeahs headlining this year is silly. TBK were promoting a recently released album that was extremely popular and Yeah Yeah Yeahs will be coming back after almost a four year break with an album that might not even be out by Coachella. There is no doubt that bringing The Black Keys back so was lazy booking, but there is no question that they were big enough to headline.
Also, I'm actually somewhat depressed of the upcoming lineup announcement, because it's going to completely invalidate the whole "I know the headlinerz" angle and rob the gag of its teeth. When that day comes, MotorAve, I will pour one out in your honor. Goodnight, sweet prince.
I'm no Frank Ocean or Beach house fan, but they're both better than Bjork
Soooo Blink 182 released his new EP today. Are they confirmed?

After recently taking a bong load of medical grade cannabis while watching Ridley Scott's classic film "Alien", Coachella Message Board member "Mugwog" had noticed the significance of helmets in the movie, leading him to think about Daft Punk. Although Daft Punk has not officially announced at being at Coachella, it seems it is likely a higher probability that the rumors are true. As "Mugwog" and other board members have been to several Coachella Festivals, privileged to have seen Radiohead both times at Coachella, clearly noting of a trending formula by Coachella promoters Goldenvoice.
"If Radiohead played once in 2004, then once again in 2012, Daft Punk will play in 2013, because they played in 2006" another message board member posted. Goldenvoice was never contacted for comment on this theory. Coachella Festival is held in Indio, CA annually in April at the Empire Polo Grounds. Past performers include: Paul McCartney, Roger Waters, Prince, Swedish House Mafia and Legendary electronic producer: Skrillex."
"Legendary electronic producer: Skrillex." this guy must be legit.
