Yeah, better/more reunion bands.
Yeah, better/more reunion bands.
I miss talking to TomAz.
We all do. I live in the same city as him (unless he relocated) and rumor has it that at 3:15am if you listen closely and its really really quiet you can hear him telling you to go fuck yourself.
They don't have to be reunion bands necessarily. Plenty of good rock bands playing good shit right now.
The thing about these fake posters is, no one really does a 'good job' with bands below the first 3 lines.. they all tend to focus on their own personal taste and so don't really reflect the breadth of different genre/styles that ultimately do make the Coachella lineup. by 'good job' I mean 'relatively accurate representation' as opposed to other possibly valid definitions such as 'this would make me happy as hell' or something. This isn't really meant as a criticism (if I did a fake poster it would be very much geared to my personal tastes as well) but more like a caveat.
Plenty of good rock bands? Are ou somehow confused and you think the year is 1996?

I have many rock bands on that list... right.

Tool should be on any fake poster as the rock headliner. Right above steve aoki.

That would be the Chapman Stick Bass. And yes, 80s King Crimson kicked all of the asses.
EDIT - Double stick attack:
I saw Tony Levin play that thing when he was in Peter Gabriel's band. I think that was also in 1982. That was such a fucking great show.
Tony still plays for peter gabriel.
Id day that brief incarnation of king crimson was the greatest rock group ever. Too bad it was so short lived.

I thought you were being sarcastic when you brought up 82 King Crimson.
Nope, you posted the bootleg i was referring. Coachella does need more rock like that. I don't think it exists anymore. Shit like QOSTA and Black keys don't even come close. Tool is as good as it gets and hopefully they deliver because it is looking very probable.
