Lamb needs to return.
well, I would say that is horrendous..... but I forgot, thats what the Sahahra is gunning for these days....
I would see Above and Beyond, only because their EM was fantastic, Delta Heavy, and maybe IM........
God that Sahara lineup is just awful to even think about
To the people getting their hopes up in this thread...
Don't
However it'll be hard for next year's Sahara to be as bad as this year's...we'll see though
Prediction - Bingo Players, Nicky Romero, Avicii (again), Dirty South, Thomas Gold, Skrillex, Nervo, Manufactured Superstars, Tydi, Hardwell, Rusko, Cosmic Gate...... Embrace the CHEESE, see you all in the tent!
What I would prefer: Booka Shade, Simian Mobile Disco, John Digweed, Plastikman, Loco Dice, Orbital, Underworld, Carl Cox, Apparat, Bonobo(live), Boys Noize (missed in 2011)...... If I get one of these guys I will consider it a success.
I like your wish list, Kucky, but where did you get, Dirty South from for the prediction? He hasn't done shit recently outside of I'm coming home, and he sucks balls. Even by the cheese standards, IMO. I hate to admit it, but you are most likely correct about the rest of that list.
I really just pulled it out of my ass..... Haha I figured that song got played about 20 times in the tent the past two years they will bring the mind behind it.
Nicky romeros essential mix was unbearable. That guy fucking sucks.
"How long will this last, this delicious feeling of being alive, of having penetrated the veil which hides beauty and the wonders of celestial vistas? It doesn't matter, as there can be nothing but gratitude for even a glimpse of what exists for those who can become open to it."
No mention of Cassius yet? That's what I'd want.
Also, as many others are posting here, it would be nice if the Sahara line-up wasn't a retread or a preview of what's happening at Electric Daisy Carnival. This is Coachella, and it's Sahara line-up needs to be WAY more diverse than just a bunch of lame club DJs.
Coachellas attended: 2007-present
Sadly I think kucky nailed it. Bingo Players and Nicky Romero are locks, as are (probably) Hardwell and Rusko. I could see Porter Robinson returning. I think Above & Beyond will be there. Ferry Korsten and Laidback Luke are always in danger of being booked.
In all seriousness, was this years sahara the most crowded its ever been? I ask because I've only been to two coachellas (2009 & 2012). In 2009 I felt like it was pretty packed for ghostland, girl talk, beetroots, crookers, and mstrkrft ( I remember people filling it all the way to the back) but I still felt like I had room to dance. I think its unfair to compare 09 and 12 though due to the change in overall attendance. So I need those of you who were there in 2010 and 2012 to compare
2010 was more crowded than 2012 I think.
'10, '11, '12.1, '13.1, '14.1
was it crowded just for guetta kaskade deadmau5 benassi? Or did plastikman orbital 2manydjs bassnectar wolfgang gartner or prettylights hold their own? Sorry for so many questions, I just want to be able to gauge whether or not its hopeless to ever believe legitimate edm acts will ever see the sahara again
From what I remember Bassnectar was packed. Orbital was full, there was room to dance. I think Gartner wasn't very full but I didn't actually go inside. Plastikman was not full.
He has done something recently. On a recent drive up to SF I heard his new radio show, called "Phazing", where he launched the first single, called "Phazing," on his new record label...also called "Phazing." Guess he really likes that word.
The dirty proof:

^ That has been his "thing" for a while. Phazing this and phazing that. Phazing nights etc etc. It is nothing like he used to do IMO. His older stuff I really did enjoy... I think he lost me with that damn temper trap remix.

Benassi and Dedamua5 were really packed. 2manydjs wasn't very packed because I'm pretty sure Tiesto was playing at the same time, Bassnectar was really packed, Gartner pretty full, PL pretty full but not as much as the ones previously mentioned, and Orbital and Plastikman were pretty empty by Sahara's standards.

Tiesto was on the main when 2ManyDJs was on. And the main was packing up like a motherfucker while I moved away to the Sahara tent.
