I sincerely doubt he runs his mouth that much in person.
Pearl Jam is my favorite band so I hope for them to show up on the poster every year, but I'm used to them not showing up that I wouldn't be devastated if it didn't happen in 2013. Kelly Curtis said it'll happen eventually.

I just browsed PJ's tour dates to get an idea of what they have on the docket, and - wow, have they really not played a show in Southern California since 2009? That's really surprising for a band that has been active and touring pretty much every year since then. Seems like they're due, whether at Coachella or somewhere else.
Kelly said that Pearl Jam would eventually play Coachella?
And Pearl Jam have played California every three years since 2000. We should have had them coming through again, but the crappy Eddie solo tours and the new album have delayed it. They play the East Coast every fucking year, though.
For your health
exactly. I'm used to PJ not playing, and am going to Coachella and having a blast regardless.
sidebar, WHERE did Kelly say they will play eventually??? with the SA shows, and if Kelly said that, next year REALLY might be the year.
EDIT - Just found it was from a chat this earlier. FUCKING AWESOME. also in that chat he mentions there will be a lot of US shows in 2013 and Eddie is feeling great. FUCK. YES.

11/21 - Pearl Jam - Viejas Arena
I was at that final Gibson show too, and it was mind blowing. Felt like they let it all hang out on the final night. I was also at the other 3 Gibson shows, however, and I have to say it's hard to top night 3:
Set List: Sometimes, Breakerfall, (Interstellar Overdrive)/Corduroy, Save You, Elderly Woman Behind The Counter In A Small Town, Got Some, Unthought Known, Faithfull, Even Flow, Unemployable, Daughter, Johnny Guitar, Given To Fly, Off He Goes, Comatose, The Fixer, Do The Evolution
1st encore: Just Breathe w/string quartet, The End w/string quartet, Lukin w/string quartet, Red Mosquito w/Ben Harper, Jazz Odyssey, Rearviewmirror
2nd encore: Once, Footsteps, Hunger Strike w/Chris Cornell, Alive w/Jerry Cantrell
I was lucky to score a last-second front-row ticket, and the energy that rained down from all over the theater when Cornell came out for Hunger Strike was probably my most intense moment of concert bliss ever. Don't think anything will ever top that.

Have Another Hit Of Colorado Sunshine
Nearly a month without any love for Pearl Jam on this thread.
They haven't been in Scotland since 2000, so this would be a highlight for me![]()

Come a long long, come a long long way
I support this of course. I have seen Eddie more than PJ in total, but it's always a good time. The first time I saw PJ was in Boulder (maybe Lolla) and he did the thingy where he climbed to the top of the venue and did a stage jump. The dude is lucky he didn't really hurt himself. I saw Jimi light his guitar on fire, but that wasn't as dangerous as a stage dive lolz... cr****

"why are you so annoying" TheKlein25
I too support this.
along with a Mad Season set on the Outdoor.
(PS I was at the first PJ show at the Polo Fields and it was such a bad experience, I didnt go to a Coachella Fest for many years)
Signed! It will be epic!!
Something is brewing in PJ land. Interesting timing. From the front page of pearljam.com:
Happy Holidays from Pearl Jam and the Ten Club
December 22 2012
2012 has been an amazing year for Team PJ -- Europe, Missoula, DeLuna, Midtown, "99 Problems",
Jeff's solo record, RNDM, EV solo, Brad, Po & the 4fathers, "Fat Kid Rules the World", Soundgarden, our new site….
We're so glad to have shared it all with you.
As we near 2013, we can't help but get even more excited about what's in store for the year ahead.
P.S. Are you a Ten Club member yet, and/or is your membership current?

It's not happening.
Coachella Weekend 1 & 2
they're playing festivals in SoAm the week or two before coachella or some such shit..i wouldn't rule them out
although that website statement means absolutely nothing, and sounds like it was written by a webmaster that has zero idea what PJ is going to be doing in 2013
I should have clarified. Among obsessive PJ fans, it's pretty well accepted that when a statement is posted on the website indicating that members should make sure their membership is current, it's code for something tour-related is happening soon (members get first dibs on seats, which are generally the best seats in the house). It's been that way for years. The website is very closely connected to the band and its management, so if something is going down, the webmasters definitely know about it.
That being said, it obviously doesn't suggest or guarantee Coachella. I just thought it was interesting timing seeing as how we are a few weeks away from the Coachella announcement, and probably a few weeks away from a Pearl Jam tour announcement. We'll see what happens.
Why has this not happened yet????
Let's go on a livin' spree!
