In a recent Rolling Stone article Andre 3000 said there are no current plans for Outkast and no future plans for Outkast. I think we can eliminate them.
How long does this upcoming Madonna tour have dates until?
With Madonna, though I do not object, you'd think they'd book Gaga first, since she's a bit more current, and I can only imagine, cheaper.
Coachellas attended: 2007-present
If Snoop can play "Drop It Like It's Hot" on the polo fields during a headlining performance then I don't see why we can't have Metallica.
^ No, Metallica will not play Coachella. They already had that Metalchella thing last year right.

I would never want to belong to any club that would have someone like me for a member...
If they can get the Knife - I will double chella, no matter how awful the lineup is.
This is kind of ridiculous how much bias people put into their "arguments". Most of these picks assume that Goldenvoice has to rely on these big reunions or older acts that haven't released any new material in a decade to sell out or keep its position as the premiere west coast festival. "No Doubt (or Tool or Rolling Stones etc.), Daft Punk, and Outkast" with hardly any new material amongst them seems stupid and completely unlike the booking over the last three years (I'd lump Pearl Jam into there but I guess they're still putting out new stuff and it's allegedly relevant?). Why else would they prefer the "lazy" choices of Black Keys or Kings of Leon? Because those groups just released albums before the festival or they're predicted to have some silly Grammy success or they're just on the fucking radio all of the time and people keep talking about them, plus they're cheaper than the old timers and reunion acts I imagine. Most of this speculation seems to completely neglect the demographic that Goldenvoice obviously caters to: 18 to 22 year old Southern Californian radio listeners who only know Daft Punk through Kayne West and couldn't list more than five No Doubt singles. Not saying that No Doubt or Rolling Stones or whoever can never be a headliner, just expect to see at least one current headliner that is almost baffling wildly popular over their latest album
So do you think we'll get the "Pump Up Kicks" guys next year frizzle?
I was thinking about Foster The People when I was typing that, I honestly won't be surprised, how can we be surprised over something like that? Anyone who mentioned Black Keys as headliners for 2012 was ridiculed into a corner and felt bad about ever thinking something so stupid but it still happened, so what's to stop Foster The People from headlining with another album?
.... the Black Keys having been around for nearly 10 years already?
Regardless, they've been around. Foster's first album was 2011. Seems a bit quick to me.
Also... look at the headliners the last 5 years... The earliest headliner (from debut album to headlining spot) I can see is the Killers and that's still 2004-2009.

Or....... Drake. :/
Tbh, I'm down with sacrificing one or two headliners to meh acts as long as the EDM lineup is leagues better. I don't mind missing a headliner to be close to a better act closing another stage.
This is why I dug the SHM madness happening on Main Stage. Left the fields so clear to move around for Refused/Horrors/Amon etc. (i know Swedish didn't headline)
Man that Horrors set was fantastic.
you do know Daft Punk and Pearl Jam are currently working on new albums.......??
and if we're getting a new headliner it would be the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.

Coachella 07 (the introduction), 08 (the bands), 09 (the documentary), 10 (the people i came with), 11 (the relationship test... we passed), 12 (whatever the weather, Dirty Epic forever), 13 (the year of the troll)
- PEARL JAM WHY YOU HATE COACHELLA? -
That's funny, some combination of any two of the following three are what I'd bet on if I had to: Daft, PJ, and Tool. I think Tool's a cinch assuming they're finishing the album in time, Pearl just because frankly they're one of the last contemporary definite headliners that still haven't been there, and Daft just because we all wish it would happen already.
I'm eagerly awaiting the days YYYs will be headliners and it WILL happen at some point, but it doesn't seem like their drawing power is getting there for whatever reason. I don't know why, they're one of the three best bands of the 2000s, they should be more popular.
No fucking clue. But it's conceivable he might be willing to come out for one night to a place like four hours away for a shit ton of money. In 2006 I'm pretty sure they did Coachella and then no other shows for a couple of weeks, right?
