Maybe not so much in the states but if you check up on his setlists you'd get a better understanding. Hes one of the better DJs around, and actually constructs his sets to appeal to whatever demographic attends his shows, while still staying true to his sound. Not many DJs do that these days.
And I blame the American scene on e-tards showing up and running their drooling mouths about him, there ain't many corners of the US where drugged out teeny boppers and bros show up and ruin things in this day and age. If its EDM, idiots will represent, that's the sad reality of what this music brings.
