Default MJA trolled me into seeing Radiohead

...all weekend long with lines like
"if you've never seen them live, you must"
"they are at the top of their game right now"
"Thom Yorke 2 years ago wasn't all his fault; there were a bunch of logistical problems"
"there will be a Glow Throw like none other"

So I sorted out a few glowsticks and even left Miike Snow early.

After one 45 min song with some pauses and chatting throughout, followed by Karma Police, and then another hour long, I would like my Saturday back.

    Thank you very much.

I don't understand this. Nobody else is bitching about acts so much that they feel the need to create a thread about it besides people who weren't happy with Radiohead. Shut up and appreciate the god damn music you liked then. Their act was great and whether you liked it or not, don't just complain about a decision you made.

Why can't he fucking complain? It's a message board and everyone is entitled to their opinions. He's not trolling and I'm sure a lot of people feel the same way he does. I wasn't there but watched the stream and was also disappointed with Radioheads performance. It wasn't terrible, but it was not a RADIOHEAD or Coachella Headliner type performance.

But see if you dislike something you must be a "hater"
This is something actual people actually believe somehow in spite of very often them not being 14 years old.

Well I mean there wasn't much else going on.... A$AP sounded horrible on the webcast and I mean Sub Focus could be alright but I mean you could pretty easily catch them elsewhere. Even if you werent blown away you can at least check them off your list and when people blather on about how much they love Radiohead you have at least a point of reference when trying to shut them down.

He's entitled to his opinion, just as I'm entitled to my opinion that this kid must be off his fucking head if he thinks miike snow would have put on a better show than radiohead, and that I hope someone with a really long skinny dick fucks him in the nose. It's just my opinion.

He's allowed to by all means, but this is the second thread I've seen bashing Radiohead's performance. Why not just go onto the Radiohead thread ALREADY made and say all of this. He doesn't need his own special thread. And I disagree. He's entitled to his opinion, as are you to yours, and me to mine. Stream performances are nothing compared to the live show. I watched some of the stream and I loved it. And I'm sure that if I was in that crowd it would've been one of the highlights of my Coachella.

I sort of agree, though. It was not that great compared to Dallas, but it wasn't terrible. I mean, it WAS Radiohead. But by Radiohead standards, it was lacking slightly, with a rocky 20 minute start. I think them screwing up Bloom at the beginning threw off their mojo.

Fuck about 70% of you lol, the coachella message boards have been fucking DYING to get Radiohead to perform at the festival ever since they last played eight years ago. Now they finally do, and everyone bashes on them for not playing enough of their older music, or that their latest performance isn't to their taste....

to everyone crying about how they didn't like Radiohead, just fuck off.

On a lighter note, I'm very excited to see them next weekend. KOTL is a great album (although not their best) and I'm very excited to hear it live.

If you were a fan, it was a great set by Radiohead as always. If you were not the biggest fan it wasn't even about wanting to hear the hits. It was the fact people were freezing listening to songs that weren't energizing. Dr. Dre and Snoop may not be the most musically involved act to play Coachella, but it was a headliner that brought the festival together.

I think with good reason a lot of people did not get that energy with Radiohead. You can talk about their mysterious nature and the fact nobody knows what they'll pick for their set list but it doesn't distract from the idea that it was simply somewhat lackluster especially considering this: 80% of Weekend 1 tickets were rumored to be sold in pre-sale which means 80% of the fans bought tickets not expecting to see Radiohead. Does the band have to cater to anybody? Absolutely not. That doesn't mean people have to be happy with what they played.

Complaining about people complaining is pretty pointless. There are objective points to why Radiohead might have pissed off some people, just like EVERY OTHER SET at Coachella. Defending the band because you think people are trying to be cool by not liking Radiohead makes you look just as stupid as you think the complainers look.

I'm not the biggest fan and loved everything about it. It was the set of the weekend.
It wasn't cold in that crowd. If you got cold you should have brought a fucking sweatshirt like any reasonable person who noticed that when the sun goes down it gets colder.

You dicks will just fall all over yourself to make sure EVERYONE KNOWS YOU HATED SOMETHING.

I don't know what you guys are talking about. I don't listen to Radiohead- I've never really been a huge fan of them. I was there to see Amon Tobin, and his set with the ISAM show was fucking fantastic. However, Radiohead fucking killed it. Not a single other show, in my opinion, held a candle to them, including Amon Tobin; nothing was even in the same ballpark. It was electric in every sense of the word.
