1. Black Keys vs EITS vs M83 - Have caught small portions of Keys previous two Coachella sets but was hoping to be able to just settle in this year for their Headliner gig...but never seen either EITS or M83. But think Keys have to win...Live bands top press play artists 90% of the time in person, and my sense is anyone not in the Mojave before M83 starts has no chance of gaining entry...guaranteed to be the most overcrowded tent set of the weekend. Would have loved to see some of EITS, but just don't like them as much as other two.
2. Tie Yuck vs EMA and/or WU/LYF vs Madness - think of trying to split both sets, starting with Yuck and WU/LYF
3. Brutal Sunday at 3pm Santigold vs. Sean Kuti. vs. Greg Ginn vs. Wild Beasts - all logical counterprograms but all acts I wanted to see...think it's going to need to be touch of Ginn, touch of Kuti, then all of Wild Beasts, my number one act for Sunday...one of the best on album bands of last three years.
Anyone worried about getting close for Radiohead is being silly...they are not a personality driven band like the Hives or Pulp where being up close makes a difference...frankly, and don't get me wrong, their my favorite act of the last twenty years, my bedroom door has more personality then most of the members of Radiohead...I'm perfectly happy to soak in their sounds from farther back. So don't miss the back half of Godspeed for a unnecessary closer vantage point for Thom, Johnny and co.
