You know they can just go to some other stage if they don't like the music that's being played right?

I agree though, I just want to see what he can do with a light show in there

I'm so fucking happy about Squarepusher being on the line up. I do wish he was on Sunday though. After seeing him my first time at that fort Manson ? Intel? Or whatever day festival, I said and thought right after his set that show was so good I don't ever need to see another concert. Of course I was extremely high but I saw the tailend of his set in Detroit and it was really good as well. So if you haven't seen him do not miss him. Also this is going to be a new production than his last tour so seeing youtube videos are not going to spoil your experience.

He was disappointing when I saw him at HARD a few years back. Hopefully brings something new to the table, or play some classics

He is premiering his new live show in London in March for a one off gig - this should be awesome

They could/should have him close a tent, but end right before AC/DC starts

Have to admit I would be at ac/dc as well if that was the case (mainly because I would never pay to see them at their own gig whereas I would for squarepusher)

Not sure he will close the Mojave though - thought Ride might be more likely for that?

Yeah, I'm torn on this inevitable conflict as well. I really want to see AC/DC because I know it will be a blast, but they're also playing Glastonbury (it's all but confirmed) and I could see them there instead. I've also never seen Squarepusher and I seriously doubt he's gonna make it to Austin any time soon.

Remember when Amon Tobin was "obviously" a Sahara act? That was funny. No way in hell Squarepusher is anywhere else but the Mojave or Gobi.

I mean... I totally get where you're going with that...

but then that would mean that we would also have to deal with the Sahara crowds... and.. jesus... fuck that shit.. I have grown to appreciate the way they program the Sahara tent for the last few years due to the way it acts to segregate a particularly annoying demographic from the rest of the crowds.

I just wish they would have one act in there I would want to see post-sundown that could take advantage of their great sound system and light setup.

When I walked through it last year for 5 minutes, The Sahara was so empty for Big Gigantic last year when Calvin Harris was on the mainstage. It had me wondering why they couldn't have had some sort of counterprogramming in there for the older crowd, because it looked fucking incredible. Like, the tent's design has just gotten more and more impressive and I agree, seeing a post-sundown show in there that is worthwhile would be a really fantastic experience.

With a lot of dance acts migrating more to other stages in recent years, I could -- at some point -- see an act for the older crowd in the Sahara opposite a SHM / Calvin Harris / Guetta / Tiesto on the main, but I don't think Squarepusher in 2015 will be that act.

Aside from a few acts (Fatboy Slim, Empire of the Sun and, allegedly, Skrillex), the Sahara wasn't that difficult to get into in comparison to 2012 or 2013. Like Cara said, it was empty for Big Gigantic and I walked near it when Showtek was playing and it didn't look packed then either. It would be nice to see them put something a little more worthwhile when the modern Sahara crowd is out at the main stage watching whatever DJ is playing.

^I'm not sure how you guys feel about Gesaffelstein, but I can see him playing a dark, brooding post-sunset set in the Sahara that would toss a curve-ball into the "EDM/Rage/Big Room House" crowd's night. The more that I think about the more I hope it happens - I haven't seen a really great set in the Sahara since Sasha in 2011.

I'm hoping they get a good act in the Sahara this year if Kaskade or Guetta end up on the main. Claude VonStroke is possible since he confirmed he's in the sahara. Gesaffelstein would be pretty great but his show utilizes all white lights and I think it could be pulled off easily in one of the other tents.

Gesaffelstein is one of my favorite new discoveries on the lineup. I am hoping for Sahara but I have no idea how popular he is. Does he get a big crowd at other events?

I've seen him at a couple HARD events in LA and his crowds have gotten progressively bigger. His set at Day of the Dead this past November was one of the most crowded all weekend.

I just spent the last hour watching Gesaffelstein's live sets on youtube and I have to say that I now definitely want to catch him Sunday night. I hope it's not in the Sahara (to avoid that shitty crowd - though with maybe Guetta or Kaskade on the main, the tent would be void of all them) but I could see him being in there. Ideally, he either plays right before or after Panda Bear in the Mojave to end the weekend.
