    Yay for "new" Pulp!

"After You" was partly written over a decade ago, but never finished, and never officially released. This version was recorded in November by the band, then finished with Murphy in London and while on the Coachella cruise.

I bought We Love Life the other day and wow, it's fucking amazing. Never got around to listening to it until now for some reason (I think someone stupidly told me it wasn't that good) and it's in close place with Different Class for being my favorite of theirs. (Which is saying a lot because that's probably a top 10 album of all time for me, and His N' Hers and This Is Hardcore are fantastic as well)

And LA gets just one screening with no guests and the screening sold out before the film or band Facebook ever even mentioned it. Go figure.

    9. The footage of their last show in Sheffield could be released as a separate project.
"I’ve heard the audio and came to the fact that we actually played okay. So I don’t know, there’s a lot of footage to look out. That’s kind of like a separate film at this point, isn’t it? It’s like… The Last Waltz in my head."

    10. This might not be the end of Pulp.
"Like any good Hollywood film, you always have to leave the door open. The reason for us getting back together and doing these shows wasn’t any anniversary reason, like [adopts low voice], ‘20 years since the album dropped.’ I’m proud of that. It was just an inner kind of need, and so it would have to be the same kind of circumstances again. If we did something else, we would have to do some “jams.” I’m not quite sure how you do that but I’m willing to learn. But the real answer is that I don’t know. We do get asked this question a lot. Somebody said, ‘Is it a question mark?’ I say it’s a comma. So we’ll see how long this particular pause lasts."

This could rival LCD Soundsystem's never ending goodbye.

Kinda bummed there's no screening in SF. It will be for sale soon enough I suppose.

This kid won last night's karaoke contest!

    Long live Pulp!

What do we have here? Is it a deleted scene from the Pulp film? Yes, I think it is. This comes with news that the film will open in US theaters on 19th November. You can check where it's showing and grab tickets from this link:

Not to sound overly knowing, but here are the very best “Britpop” from the era if so inclined.

    Mansun – Six
    Longpigs – Mobile Home
    Jack – Pioneer Soundtracks
    The Stone Roses – Debut
    Verve- A Storm in Heaven
The Auteurs – After Murder Park
Embrace – The Good Will Out
The Pale Fountains – Pacific Street
Gene – Drawn to the Deep End
