This one act was the clincher for buying tickets.
Ive been waiting to see them live for over a year. Their album is on regular replay.
Rarely do I go through the planning to be on the rail these day. Will be there for certain for this.
I had never heard of them before Monday, but after listening to their stuff a couple different times yesterday I've really grown to like it; the live videos in particular have a real energy and spontaneity between the three of them. Should make for a very good early-afternoon Gobi set (kind of like Brandt Brauer Frick back in 2011).

They've been on my radar all year and I keep checking their site to see when they're coming to town. Hopefully they'll have a smaller GV show before or after since it's a little harder for them to get out here from the UK.
Damn these guys are something else. Really hope they don't get stuck playing too early. I hate myself for missing great acts that play too damn early, like Syd Arthur and Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger.
Hey, mikey, not to rub it in but Syd Arthur and Ghost were both well worth getting on the grounds early for. Syd Arthur is really good contemporary prog rock (also saw them open for Yes and they complemented them perfectly). And Sean Lennon and his gorgeous wife were much improved last year at Coachella from the first time I caught them at a show in Phoenix about a year earlier. Somewhat Beatles/Floyd-ish psychedlic music, but definitely 21st century with a dancier groove. Fun set to start the fest. If either are ever in your neighborhood, check them out.
GoGo Penguin's a nice find, thanks op. With Kamasi Washington there'll be some good jazz at the fest.

Speaking of badbadnotgood, would have to imagine ghostface killah is making an appearance given the recent album?
I wouldn't say it's a given (all three times I saw them this year he was not with them - only on shows specifically promoting them together) but it's definitely a possibility. Also last time I saw them Sam Herring from Future Islands came out and did their version of Seasons together and it was sick.
Caught them at Mercury Lounge tonight based on some thoughts here and enjoying what I heard on Spotify. Not what I'd typically seek out, but I'm really glad I went. Fantastic musicianship with no frills. At various points, you'd think the drummer had 4 arms & 3 legs. Great time.
