We should meet up at the show Sonnyboy, I'll be seating at orch 3 row cc seat 101 (look for a dude with a ponytail). I'm rolling solo to this and will prob get there right before the opening act.
Sounds good! I'll keep an eye out for you.
I'm doing my best not to peek in here because I don't want to see a setlist - but if anyone can PM me the new album, I'd greatly appreciate (the link in the group is expired).
I've got my show coming up in less than 2 weeks, so excited!
I'll not hear anything this year more beautiful than Brendan Perry's rendition of Song To The Siren. I lost a young family member this week and when he started the lyrics for that one... things got pretty dusty up in here. Frankly, it's still damn dusty now as I type this. As in, you know, I am crying like a biatch ok!
Overall an amazing show. Don't have setlist but they did three encores. There isn't a better band out there for this kind of atmospheric and ethereal music. Besides Brendan's uncanny and ageless baritone, Lisa Gerrard lit the place up. The constant droning beats with attention to minute musical details. And a lighted net behind them that raised itself up like a veil. I can't... wow, tough to describe it all. One of the best shows of the year for me.
brokenDREAMS it was great meeting you! Good chat. I'll see you at FYF!
Great to meet you as well Sonnyboy11! FYF is indeed around the corner..
Stunning show tonight. Lisa's voice will haunt me for a while. Catch this show if you can because there isn't anything like it. Wow.
the show was incredible as suspected. we all went ape shit when song to the siren was sung. got to see brendan and lisa backstage. i was too shy to say anything but my friend got her picture with brendan, so cute!
She added the phrase "meany head" to my profile.I hardly think I'm an attention whore.I train birds of prey and am I licensed falconer
I saw Brendan Perry solo last year - his voice is so powerful.
Seriously giddy about this one.
Seeing the show tonight - so excited!
There has to have been more board members who caught this tour!
