That's the same as last year. If you don't put it on properly they COULD charge you. Not sure if this happened to anyone though as our group had no problems (then again, we put them on per the directions, no loose like I'm sure some people did to try and share wristbands).
Last year I straight fucked up the wristband and they fixed it in two seconds no charge. $25 means to be careful as fuck, let someone else put it on for you.

I still can't figure out what advantages there might be to registering one's wristband. "enhanced customer support, social media features, merchandise specials and potential upgrades" are pretty nebulous enticements. In exchange I give Philip Anschutz the legal right to track my every move via RFID? I'm not seeing the win there.
