I'm flying to Texas tomorrow to see a girl. We met in college and had a fling but randomly over the past month we've reconnected and it has become serious.
I'm not sure if that should have gone in the confession thread but c'est la vie.
I'm happy I haven't had any dating dilemmas since August. My lady even came over for thanksgiving and the Fambam loves her.
NonStranger: Good luck on your trip to TX! Hope it turns into something worth the distance!
Im sure your parents are very happy there is a possibly that this girls can get you to miss future family dinners, Mugwog
Surprisingly my family life is not as defunct as one would think from reading these forums.
Im sure its a EXTRA loving family.
We Filipinos stay close, how else do you get possessions when people die?
I generally date people who are in the neighborhood, but not identical. I don't think I could handle top 40. I like fuzzy feedback and he likes synthy brit pop, but neither of us can stand Taylor Swift.
Well, that's unrealistic. In the future, try to have sex dreams with me and men who use less hair gel.
Aw Sean. I hope everything is ok. Where do you stand in terms of being part of their lives going forward?
Getting serious over long distance is not recommended. Beware.
I feel like I have to believe the other person has 'good' taste, whatever that means, even if it's not completely up my alley. Something I wouldn't choose but could tolerate, and an opinion about (music / art / whatever) that I can respect. I realize that's very vague but I think it comes down to having a passion about it, rather than having bland opinions/taste.

Oh I missed the news from Sean.Sorry things did not work out, Sean.
Courtney, there was another girl and a dark-skinned guy in my dream too. Full-on orgy.
I miss talking to TomAz.
We all do. I live in the same city as him (unless he relocated) and rumor has it that at 3:15am if you listen closely and its really really quiet you can hear him telling you to go fuck yourself.
Yes. My friend/would-be-boyfriend in Florida is really into death metal and grew up on shitty pop punk, but he's really passionate about it and is discerning and doesn't just listen to garbage, even if it's mostly stuff that I wouldn't choose to listen to in my own free time. And we have a little bit of overlap. Every so often we try to take some influence from each others tastes. Still, I'd really like to eventually date someone I can get sweaty on the dancefloor with.
For homos, the ones that like to dance are all into Lady Gaga, and the ones with a personality either don't care that much about music or are into "masculine" type music. I'm the stray weirdo who likes soul crushing heaviness and frilly ass house. Having diverse taste is a blessing and a curse.
I should probably stop complaining about never having dates or getting laid if I'm going to continue ignoring every guy who sends me a message on OKC and sending icy glares at any guy who tries to talk to me in person.
I would just stop the icy glares...your better than OKC.

hope this intelligent indian girl on OKC hates curry as I can't stand the smell
Damn, I've been going to the gym again and those full size mirrors reveal one reason I get no action: I got big
Now just need to find out how to rationalize the other 24 years.
