I imagine next week's sc-ucla game will feature a bruins team that is ranked higher than the trojans. I wonder when the last time that was the case... at least a decade.

Colorado is as bad as wazzu. That, and arizona got back their starting qb who was the centerpiece of their offense. He didnt play against ucla last week.
Right now, all that matters is usc spoiling notre dames season. It was just ridiculous how much espn/abc is sucking them off just because mike golic's son plays for notre dame. He is going to be one sad dude in a couple weeks when he has to go on his radio show and hold back tears due to the fact that nd lost to usc.

Considering UCLA's having a decent season and Nebraska's kind of kicking ass it'd be nice to see the two rematch at the Rose Bowl game, especially since I missed going to their earlier matchup in Sept. fngrs crssd
You have to beat USC to even have a shot at The Rose Bowl. AND, you would have to hope Oregon goes to the title game so UCLA gets a shot. And that would be pretty lame rematch wise, have higher standards please. Also, I dont think you want to pay the Rose Bowl ticket price anyway. If you have $200 lying around for your ticket, be my guest.
I really don't see anyone stopping Oregon at this point, the title game is their's for the taking so long as they keep playing at this level. And I certainly don't see UCLA defense stopping the Trojan offense,; those fuckers are good. And $200 for the Rose Bowl? Not bad, I'd pay it if Arizona were to EVER fucking get there. Well worth it.
really? that sucks.. how do you get good tix, first come first serve?
national championship will be oregon and bama. fucking finally.
Yep. I was lucky enough to attend a Rose bowl game back in high school my senior year. They needed volunteer ushers, so we had to go to s short training class durign x mas break, and then go to the Bowl before the sun came up on NYD. It was the Washington State vs Michigan game. (Woodson won the Heisman and they got the split title) And the insane ref call where Ryan Leaf clocked the ball, but the ref said time ran out.
There is a presale for locals only to begin. (they check proof of address and all, and you get a unique code to try and buy) Also, each school gets a pretty much even allotment of tickets to sell to their fans. If the either school cannot sell their entire allotment, those get put into the small general sale of tickets. Im sure that onsale is coming within this month if you were even curious to try for tickets.
Here's the general ticket sale info per the Tournament of Roses website.

Jesus Christ... anyone else see the story of the Wake Forrest QB coach's family. I dont think ive ever teared up like that over a story on TV. BIG respect to him and his family.
You know, but that's valid because if we are all gonna die anyway, shouldn't we be enjoying ourselves now? You know, I'd like to quit thinking of the present, like right now, as some minor insignificant preamble to something else.

It's that tad bit of Crazy that keeps me Sane...
God I wish I could've been there. GO BRUINS! indeed.
Franklin is a hell of a running back, but props must be given to Hundley; kid is a redshirt freshman and he outbattled the wonderful matt barkley, who clearly should have left for the nfl last year.
I'm thinking the chances of UCLA appearing in the Rose Bowl game are actually reasonable? However if K State and Oregon win out, though, they would play for the title, and the rose bowl berth usually saved for the Pac-12 champion will instead go to a team like Notre Dame or Georgia.
So much shit could happen the next two weekends
The best somewhat-reasonable scenario would be UCLA beating Stanford next week, K-State/Oregon winning out and going to the BCS championship, USC winning next week against ND and the Bruins putting up a somewhat reasonable showing against the Ducks in the Pac-12 championship game. I think at that point UCLA would have a very strong case to play in the Rose Bowl.
Wouldn't Oregon St have to lose two games as well?

i'm not sure, but i was told that if the team going to the national championship is the pac-12 champion, then the rose bowl berth goes to an at large team or one that is ranked high enough for one of the big 4 bowls. could be wrong. however the above scenario is now moot with oregon losing tonight. now ucla will probably be playing oregon state? in the championship game, assuming they win against stanford. if ucla were to lose next week to stanford, would the pac-12 championship game just be a rematch (because UCLA clinched the pac-12 south and Stanford wins the north)?

I don't think Oregon State has a chance to win the division. They're 5-2, Stanford is 7-1, and Oregon State lost to Stanford. If UCLA beats Stanford, they'll finish 7-2 in conference. Even if Oregon State beats Oregon and creates a 3-way tie, Stanford wins the tie breaker because it beat both Oregon schools. It's either Oregon or Stanford.
Fucking Oregon. Stanford's defense got walked over all throughout the second half against Arizona, yet Oregon's offense can only put up 14 points on them? The pressure must've gotten to them. Good luck to the Irish; I sure as shit don't want there to be another all-SEC title game.

Rutgers is going to be in a BCS bowl game.
ESPN BCS bowl projections:
National Championship: Notre Dame - Alabama
Rose: Stanford - Nebraska
Fiesta: Kansas State - Oregon
Sugar: Florida - Oklahoma
Orange: Florida State - Rutgers
Once again the Orange Bowl sucks.
