We were begging for the past.

I need this phenomenon of how being single is an exciting prospective for a music festival to be explained for me. Is it on a much grander scale of excitement than, say, going to a concert single? Does this attitude spill over to other aspects of one's life? Is there an, obviously smaller, but still present, lovely feeling of knowing that you'll be going to the grocery store next week single? If you were to sort of spontaneously fall in love and find yourself in a relationship come the beginning of April, what wins?

Perhaps they have always been to Coachella on a date/relationship basis and were brought along to see some acts they loathe (JIMMY EAT WORLD.)
Well, Mugwog, if you didn't fully expect your cougar girlfriend to drag you to see Jimmy Eat World last year then that is your fault and your fault alone. Those songs were her JAM in jr. high.

I think, unless your partner is totally like-minded, being single ensures that you can:
- See whoever you want (music)
- Party where, with who, and how long you want
- Not deal with the potential of arguments
- Only have your own energy/well being to worry about
- Have a weekend of solo self discovery
- Trashily involve yourself in an orgy, if that is what you are into/leave Monday without the weight of having participated in backstabbing festival sex.

It depends on who your significant other is, obviously.
Hence, why I said, unless your partner is like-minded.
