I'm planning on going. Jim's going to be in Chicago. I was trying to find somebody to share a hotel room with, but I don't want to intrude on your party.

I've got a wedding the first weekend in May. But May 10th or 17th would be marvelous.

Ok, so the two dates which have the most traction are Sat. 5/18 and Sat. 6/1. Those who could do the 18th, are you also free on the 1st? That would allow a few who couldn't make the 18th to attend, and I'd be fine with hosting on either date.

The first to violate said policy will be required to buy dinner that night for all those in attendance.

And finally, what theme shall we go with this time? BARC had a lot of great suggestions.

    Either works for me.

Does there have to be a theme?

I can no longer make it on the 18th - going to SD to visit my brother, and he's giving me a couch.

That said, I should be able to host a record club meeting at my new place at some point. It is indeed relatively small but if we could all fit into Jason's old place (which we did), I'm sure mine will work as well. I just need to invest in more folding chairs or pillows for the floor

As if listening to vinyl wasn't pretentious enough, let's add a theme beer to the occasion.

I think themes would be a good idea if a few more people were able to make it.

I might be able to host that... we'll have to see how many people my place can fit. If I do, it's a short walk to the metro purple line which could then be taken to the gold line to the park.

Pretty sure I'll be at Wurstkuche both morning drinking giant German beers before the fest.

Also of note: The Arts District is a great place to find easy parking, and then take the gold line 2 stops to the park.
