Think you've got that reversed, mate. I guess it depends what you want. If you think Shakermaker > Don't Look Back in Anger then there's no arguing with Liam (and the rest of Oasis who seem to all have followed Liam into Beady Eye) > Noel.
will be bringing my 3 1/2 year old boy to see him weekend 2 if i am recovered from weekend 1 and decide to make it out, he loves the album and i know he would rock out with me. hopefully we are able to snap a quick pic with noel, too.
I saw him in LA a couple of months ago and his set was nearly 50% Oasis, 50% High Flying Birds. It was a good set overall, but from my understanding his set stayed the exact same throughout the duration of his tour.
This song stood out. It will be on his more psychadelic album that should be out later this year:
I'm not convinced about this band. I haven't listened to the album, but I did see them live last month playing the same ticket as Florence and the Machine, and the highlight of their show to me was Don't Look Back in Anger. If the songs you played from your old band are more memorable a month later than the songs from your new band, I can't see that as a very good sign. If they aren't conflicting with anyone more important to me then maybe I'll give them another chance in April.
I've seen them live, so I have plenty of say. It doesn't matter how good the album is, if they can't get it done live they aren't worth seeing.
You actually don't have much say. You went into that set without listening to the album and being familiar with the songs. That plays a factor. You might tap your feet to the song but you probably won't rock out to it if it's the first time youve heard it. Imagine fans showing up to a Radiohead show that have never heard the King of Limbs before. Half the crowd would come out pissed.
Noel's recent set lists seem to have seen few changes gig to gig...
