Should not be a problem. Just follow them on twitter and they will announce when it's on sale. Their most recent one (Poltergeist soundtrack) has not sold out yet.

I have no idea, this is the last AFI album I can even stand. Well, Art of Drowning had its moments. But yeah, total high school music. I saw AFI the first time in June '97 and was pretty well hooked for those next few years.

I haven't listened to AFI in a decade, but I really, really love this album and wasn't aware Nitro had repressed it. Well worth the $13.

Went to the great park in Irvine this past weekend. They have an antique market, every first sunday of the month. Anyways, few booths selling records. Only bought from one guy selling everything for $2

Oingo Boingo - Oingo Boingo 10" (my 2nd copy)
Ahmad Jamal Trio - Jamal At The Pershing Vol. 2 (the original '61 pressing)
Sly & The Family Stone - Greatest Hits
Phil Collins - No Jacket Required
Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young - So Far
    Squeeze - Singles - 45's And Under
    Elvis Costello - Spike
INXS - Original Sin (Dream On) 12"
Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark - O.M.D.

jackets range from good to very good. all the wax was in great shape.
Coachella 07 (the introduction), 08 (the bands), 09 (the documentary), 10 (the people i came with), 11 (the relationship test... we passed), 12 (whatever the weather, Dirty Epic forever), 13 (the year of the troll)

My problem is that it goes onsale on a Monday and well... like most people, I work Mondays and I would not be able to buy this until I got home from work.

Had a whole bunch of mail order stuff waiting at home today.

    12":
    Heatsick - Convergence
Tiger & Woods - Girls Like Boys
Various Artists - Think & Change: Album Sampler One

    LP:
    Lee Gamble - Diversions 1994-1996
Girls Names - The New Life
    Golden Grrrls - Golden Grrrls
    My Bloody Valentine - MBV
Angel Olsen - Half Way Home
Wax Idols - Discipline + Desire

Also, I'm going to warn you guys again -- the new Girls Names record is fucking fantastic. If you like early Cure and more krautrock-style psychedelia, you will be into this record. Huge step forward from the first one.

Nice pickups! Are these two Stereolab albums the recent reissues? If so, how do they sound?

Yeah, the shop I go to most often has put a lot of effort into expanding their vinyl, and they had a recent influx of good used stuff. Those three White Stripes albums are NM, and I got them for $10 each. The guy put them out on the rack while I was browsing. Not sure how I lucked into that one.

Yup, the reissues, and they're beautiful. I hadn't listened to either of those albums in a while and I forgot how great they are.

I know what you mean - I revisited their discography about three months ago after a long absence and was blown away at how great this band is/was. I was thinking of getting the Dots and Loops and Emperor Tomato Ketchup reissues, but I'm going to have to save up a bit because new copies are a bit pricey.

I hit a few stores while in LA for the past few days:

    The Men - New Moon
    Lynyrd Skynyrd - Second Coming
    Torche - Harmonicraft
Buffalo Springfield - Buffalo Springfield (1st press Mono without For What It's Worth - $5, thanks Amoeba for not knowing what you're doing)
James "Blood" Ulmer - Free Lancing

Amoeba and Rasputin are mostly obnoxious (especially when the good stuff never reaches the floor because the employees snag it) but occasionally they have no idea what they have or something slips through the cracks. I love when that happens. An all-time favorite digging moment was snagging three records, including an original Loop LP, that made the checkout person genuinely jealous/upset.

Basically what I'm saying is, nice work.

Those are always the best moments. I'll never forget, pre-movie at Arclight, heading into Amoeba just to go thru the new arrivals as we waited for film time to near. In one rack I found two pristine Unwound records, the first Scratch Acid and a first press of Funkadelic - Maggot Brain, each priced at $4. The cashier jokingly questioned whether I had switched the price on the Funkadelic.

Your write-up prompted me to find this album and I quite like it; at various times it reminds me of The Fresh & Onlys and Crystal Stilts.

So awesome. I remember you telling me about that dig. Maggot Brain is a record I have NEVER seen used. Ever.

Lexicon of Love is their best album, but How to Be a Zillionaire is good, Skyscraping is decent too but not as consistent as the other two.
