sometimes comes form the band, sometimes from the plant, sometimes the label... it really depends.

i've seen inscriptions with lyrics, or cryptic references, or just the record ID number.

The copy of Zen Arcade I have has references to the story inscribed onto each side. THe ID number is almost always on there, but I was wondering about the things like the Black Randy vinyl I have that has "FUCK THE COPS" scribed into it. I bet he did that.

Last night I picked up 'Real Emotional Trash' on double vinyl signed by Malkmus & The Jicks.

I went to a new Rasputin (the one in San Lorenzo) today, and they had some amazing stuff. I went slightly overboard.

    CD's:

Andy Partridge - Fuzzy Warbles Collector's Album (all 9 installments of this series in an awesome package)

    LP's:

    Cheap Trick - At Budokan
    Elvis Costello - Armed Forces
    Elvis Costello - Imperial Bedroom
    Grizzly Bear - Friend EP
    Icicle Works - Icicle Works
    Latyrx - The Album
    Joni Mitchell - Blue
    Sunn 0))) - Domkirke
Townes Van Zandt - Live at The Old Quarter, Houston, Texas
    XTC - Drums and Wires
Neil Young - Tonight's The Night

I can't believe I found that fucking Latyrx album. On vinyl. For $12.

Im thinking of selling a pretty large amount of vinyl lp's... it's mostly the stuff I inherited from my relatives that I have doubles of/or dont really want. But maybe someone else does : ). Is there a vinyl buy/sell/trade thread? I searched but I'm just making sure.

Nope. But I might be interested depending upon what you have. TomAZ gave away some records once. We had a draft. We could do that again. Although if you are selling them it might be a different story.

in the past, people would start their own threads about what they had to sell. here are two examples:

yeah I'm selling them but for dirt cheap because they aren't all that valuable and only in somewhat good condish. If I remember correctly there is alot of Black Sabbath, Yes, Led Zeppelin, Cat Stevens, Lynyrd Skynyrd. Although there are some pretty damn rare New Orleans Horns and Sun Ra records that luckily I grabbed before my uncle sold his collection. I have doubles of a could of the NOH's stuff if any one would be interested.

Just showed up. The vinyl has some dust staining and the sleeve is creased, but it's also a 1987 Blast First pressing.

Apparently first press too since the cover isn't edited at all.

Bryan, what's your vinyl mail-order venue of choice? I've got a couple that I use regularly, but I'm always on the lookout for other good places.

    Boomkat
    Saki Store
    Mimaroglu
    Norman Records

I use this site a lot:

    http://www.musicstack.com/

It aggregates the selection from thousands of different stores around the world, and as a result it's got a little bit of everything. Or at least a little bit of everything I usually search for.

Snagged a copy of the Yellow Swans and Grey Daturas collab on ebay for 10 bucks... There was only a few hundred copies of this thing and I've never come across a rip... So I'm really excited to listen to it.

Oh god, do I ever. My roommate gets drunk, steps on his cigarette butts and then walks into the house. Ash everywhere. Thankfully I'm only going to be at that apartment for a few more months.
