The best way to shop at Zia is to not go there for a couple months. They finally turned over some of their used selection so I picked through a lot of it. Got a big haul.

    Cattle Prod - Secretly Happy
Club Nouveau ‎– Under A Nouveau Groove
The Dells– Give Your Baby A Standing Ovation

Eric Kloss - In The Land of Giants
    Freddie Hubbard ‎– Straight Life
The Janet Lawson Quintet - Dreams Can Be
John Coltrane ‎– Expression (record club stereo version)
Jon Hendricks - Recorded in Person at the Trident
    Junior Mance - Harlem Lullaby

    Mirage ‎– Princes Of Love
    Rare Earth - Get Ready
Ray Brown / Milt Jackson ‎– Much In Common (OG mono still in shrink)
    Roland Prince - Color Visions
Slide Hampton - Jazz with a Twist

Second Chance I think. It's open Wednesday through Sunday. On Old Mammoth Road, in the next big shopping center after you pass Rite Aid.

This is fantastic. The players have definitely studied their bop and they get really feisty.

Other than a little bit of dust, the thing is in NM condition. The sleeve has hardly any wear and the disc played perfectly. Super awesome find. That score has inspired me to stop by the Bishop thrift store today.

Was over at a buddy's house, who sold his turntable years ago and went through his collection -"take anything you want" - found Gorillaz - Demon Days, felt so bad about taking it I gave him $60 for it.

I guess Demon Days is OOP right? I was looking online and only found the self-titled, and Plastic Beach on vinyl.

Definitely out of print. Typically goes for 150-200 through independent sellers, and it always gets snagged up super quick. What a rad friend that is.

4/8 - Drive Like Jehu @ The Glasshouse
4/10 - Andrew Jackson Jihad / Jeff Rosenstock @ The Irenic
    4/16 - Ratatat @ House Of Blues
    5/1 - Lightning Bolt @ The Chapel
5/28 - Neutral Milk Hotel @ North Park Theatre
    9/28 - AC/DC @ Dodgers Stadium

Oh wow, yeah. I don't even really like Gorillaz and I would have snagged that.

Cloud Nothings - Here and Nowhere Else (custom cover)
    Pink Floyd - Animals

And I found a near mint original US press of Never Mind the Bollocks at the library for $5 but ended up selling it pretty easily. Sounded nice.

I'm actually having a frustrating experience with What's My Rupture records. I ordered the Parquet Courts album "Light Up Gold" on vinyl from the record label site about a month ago (mostly because i couldn't find it anywhere else). Two weeks after I ordered it, the payment had been processed, but I never received a shipping confirmation and hadn't received the LP so I emailed them. They said it was supposed to have shipped the day I ordered it, but they would research it and either send me tracking info or another copy. Now it's been almost 2 weeks since then and I haven't received either, so I'm getting ready to contact them again. Sigh.

I was in Boston and went to a nice shop called Newbury Comics in Cambridge. They have mostly new stuff but the selection is decent and the prices are 1-2 dlls cheaper than Amazon. Best of all, they were offering 25% everything the day I went and I was able to snag some good deals on vinyl. They do have a good selection of cds as well.

Thom Yorke - Eraser (I think it came out to about $9 or $10)
    Mad Caddies - Dirty Rice
    DARKSIDE - Psychic
    Os Mutantes - Jardim Eletrico

I think I paid about $50 for everything with the discounts.
