The 64 Greatest Motown Original Hits (4LP box set)
Ella Fitzgerald - Ella Fitzgeral Sings the Irving Berlin Song Book
Stevie Wonder - Journey Through the Secret Life Of Plants
Stevie Wonder - Hotter Than July
The Doors - Waiting For the Sun
The Beatles - Meet The Beatles (US Mono 1st press)
    Dire Straits - Making Movies
Chubby Checker - Your Twist Party With the King of Twist
Joan Baez - Joan Baez (1st album, Mono 1st press)
    Eagles - Eagles (1st press)
Kris Kristofferson - Jesus Was A Capricorn
Love - Da Capo (1st Press)
Buck Owens and his Buckaroos - Carnegie Hall Concert
    Chicago Transit Authority - 1
Simon and Garfunkel - Bridge Over Troubled Water (1st Press)
Wow. Solid pick-up. I have most of these but I certainly wasn't able to acquire them all in one swoop.

The most exciting part was that it was a total of $15 and so far everything I've listened to has been in decent to really good quality.

    CD:
The Knife - Shaking The Habitual. Old Dreams.. is omitted on the CD version. Album flows much better without it imo.

You must have gotten the one disk version or something. The two disk version still has Old Dreams at the end of disk one.

So i need some speaker recs for my turntable.... what should i get? Looking to spend $350 or less. I heard the Wharfedale Diamond 9.1's are one of the best, anyone know how to get them in the US? Any help would be deeply appreciated since I'm pretty clueless on this.

Well that's pretty cool. That album and Goodbye are the only two Cream records I don't own, but I've never felt a strong urge to get either one.

im on the fence just because of the price.... kind of obsurd. Very pretty though haha. Id also like to compliment you on that 15$ snag. Very well done sir. Thrift stores and pawn sops are becoming a great place to get some gold. I found a little grace jones & george winston a few weeks back at .50 cents a pop!

Yeah, this was a brand new place, but this small town I'm living in is full of people with weird ole country and 50s records, so there's always cool stuff to find.

Bought the 2-LP reissue of Iggy & the Stooges' Raw Power (Bowie's 1973 mix and Iggy's 1997 remaster) in anticipation of the NPR show this afternoon. No luck on getting it signed, but any excuse to have a pristine copy of that album in my collection alongside my rough old-school copy is alright with me.

Never been to RSD outside of coachella before. I had no idea about the huge fucking line at LA Amoeba to get records. Lame. But I still went in and got some non-RSD stuff, then went to Origami to see Avey Tare DJ and got some stuff. Plus some gnar shit just came in the mail.

    Amoeba LA:
Deathspell Omega - Si Monvmentvm Reqvires, Circvmspice 2LP w poster (!!!!!!)
Sissy Spacek and John Wiese - Scissors
    Lee Gamble - Diversions 1994-1996
    Black Flag - Wasted...Again
Fats Waller - Handful of Keys
Leonard Cohen - Songs of Love and Hate
    RSD:
    Destroyer - This Night LP
    Oval - Systemisch

    Mail:
Demdike Stare - Test Pressing #002 (ice blue vinyl, this 12" is sooooo good)
Maps - I Heard Them Stay (Andy Stott remix) 12"

    For Broadcast fans.
As much i would like to keep these on the down low so i could maybe win an auction(im broke as hell right now) THey deserve to go for as much as possible. I think all the money is going to James to finish the next album. They have been putting up records for a while now, two weeks ago i was bidding on a Future Crayon LP at 3am but i didn't win. Here's the link.

Went by a church book sale and scored some good old stuff.

The Ink Spots - Best Of
Ray Charles - Spotlight on Ray Charles
Buddy Rich - Buddy Rich at JATP
Rosemary Clooney - Songs from Paramount Pictures "White Christmas"
Echoes of an Era - The Charlie Parker & Dizzy Gillespie Years
Rex Harrison & Julie Andrews - My Fair Lady
Peter, Paul, and Mary -In the Wind
Jerry Lee Lewis - The Golden Rock Hits of Jerry Lee Lewis
    Various Artists - Metropolis sounddtrack

I really need to stop buying Jerry Lee Lewis records. Problem is that each comp has a few different songs that I don't have. Por ejemplo, this one has two Hank Williams covers and a couple ballads I've never heard. Even the hits are versions he rerecorded later for Mercury. A dollar well spent, but I probably have five or six JLL records now.

Note to all: NOT a late-night album, as two of the last three songs are harrowing takes on the psyche. I'm listening to Marquee Moon (the song) to ease myself into sleep.

Haha yes. Though it does have Minute Prologue, one of the sweetest songs I've ever heard. Those 3 and Dress Rehearsal Rag always fuck me up.
