Haha good job, Bryan. Bought a couple records and 100 album sleeves a few days ago. Didn't buy enough, so I went back the next day to get more and forced myself to not even look at the records. It was difficult.

Free records like that does sound very dangerous.

If anyone is ever at the Glasshouse or Fox for anything you should stop in the Glass House record store. they are starting to stock used (and some new) vinyl. I guess they got sick of having a bunch of CDs that no one bought gathering dust in their bins. It's definitely a work in progress as the guy said he has tons more boxes to go through to grade and price, but I was able to pick these up for $7 each.

Chemical Brothers - Push the Button LP
Basement Jaxx - Remedy UK LP
Lamb - Between Darkness and Wonder UK LP

Went to the record store for the first time since last August. Somehow moving thousands of records cross country calmed the collecting obsession for a few months.

    Today's haul:

    James Brown - Mutha's Nature
    LL Cool J - Radio
Run DMC - Tougher Than Leather
    Tyree - Acid Over 12"
    Modeselektor - Monkeytown

Spent fitty, could of easily dropped a Benjamin.

Thee Oh Sees - Carrion Crawler/The Dream

I also bought a stack from someone on Craigslist, of which I am keeping:

    Madvillain - Madvillainy
    Common - Resurrection
Common - One Day it'll All Make Sense
    The Fat Boys - Crushin'
The Fat Boys - The Fat Boys

It also came with releases from The Game, Snoop, and Jay-Z from 2005/06, as well as the limited edition version of Matisyahu's first album, all of which I am going to try and sell on Discogs (especially the Matisyahu, as that one often sells for over $20!). There's also this double LP/white vinyl breakbeat collection which I am still debating what to do with (http://www.discogs.com/DJ-Rectangle-...elease/2400194).

Quick question for you all: the two Common albums are reissues, but they have white labels on the records themselves rather than the grey/black labels I've seen in the pictures posted to the Discogs entries for them - is there a reason why the ones I have are different?

^ They could be radio, promo or record label copies? Also, Discogs could be just wrong.

Rhino stocked the 2012 Bruise Cruise 7" single series in case anyone was interested. I saw the following:

Thee Oh Sees/Quintron & Miss Pussycat
    Fucked Up/Dirtbombs
King Khan and the Shrines/Mikal Cronin

Inspiralled Grooves on Market was killing today. I put back records by the Remains, Otis Redding, Ornette Coleman, and Bauhaus. Budget concerns forced me to be a bit conservative, but I strongly urge fans of blues, jazz, and soul to check them out ASAP.

John Coltrane - European Tour 1962 (sealed, features Trane's best longest lasting quartet stretching out on classics. Stoked)
John Coltrane - Best of Coltrane (Best of Trane's Atlantic recordings. Engineered by Tom Dowd, fapfapfapfap)

This. White labels are generally promo records, but you say they're reissues, so that's a little odd. And discogs is certainly not infallible, I have a stack of 50 records that I need to either add to discogs or update inaccurate listings.

High Contrast - The Agony & The Ecstasy.

Not as good as his earlier work, but I still dig it.

Bryan, do you recall the name of that Charley Patton you bought back in December? I'm looking at a Patton record that's #3 in a set of 4 and I'm curious if it's of the same series as your's.

It probably is. They're the Electrically Recorded series. The one I got was Prayer of Death. I think it was the second in the series, and it's great.

Boom. That's the one. I'm going to back tomorrow when it's my birthday and I can buy it guilt-free.

Live in Europe, Volt press. Strong VG+. I've picked it up and put it back my last three trips in there. Next time I just may take it home with me.

I know, I know. And for $20, too. Such a good deal. Maybe today I'll pull the trigger on that one if it's still there.

My mom texted me today to tell me that I had six boxes of records at my parent's house. Seriously, these Amazon gift cards that I can buy with credit card rewards are fucking dangerous/awesome.

    LP:
    Brain Idea - Cosmos Factory
Earth - Angels of Darkness, Demons of Light Pt. 1
    The Horrors - Primary Colours
    The Horrors - Skying
Magnolia Electric Co. - Trials & Errors
Wolves in the Throne Room - Celestial Lineage

    7":
    Zig Zags - Scavenger
