I wouldn't go to this even if I was going to be in SF. Way Out West and Stockholm Music & Arts FTW.
Lol Justice AND Skrillex

Nice. I like how they used Hammer in the vid:
Solid lineup, original compared to all the other festival's this year. No idea what Skrillex is doing on it though :/ him and Justice are going to pull a lot of EDM idiots to it. MSTRKRFT and Wolfgang Gartner will be great though.
We might as well have just gone to the Bridge School benefit last year. I'm really sorry to everyone who is in love with this lineup, I just really don't see the appeal. All the headliners are far past their glory days. It'll take a lot of convincing to get me to not sell my ticket this year.
3/22/12 - of Montreal @ The Fillmore
4/11/12 - Radiohead @ HP Pavillion
4/19/12 - Bon Iver @ Bill Graham Civic Auditorium
5/17/12 - Best Coast @ Fox Theater
8/10-12/12 - Outside Lands @ Golden Gate Park
Great lineup but is it safe to assume though that the top 6 acts on the poster will conflict with one another? Meaning you only get to see 3 of the top 6 acts, a la Lollapalooza.
Sorry for the n00b question but I'm not very familiar with Outside Lands.
I'm in.
No jam bands = no hippies everywhere on one of the days. changes...
There may not be any jam bands but Stevie Wonder, Jack White and especially Neil Young will still be enough to rope in plenty of hippies.
Can anyone answer my question about whether the top 6 are scheduled against one another? I'm dying to know.
Im just glad to be able to finally see Neil and Stevie. And Walkmen.
Everything else is just frosting.
Comparing it to a festival in fucking Sweden is some silly rich white people shit.
This thing is gonna sell out mad fast.

Why don't you all make like a tree and get chopped down and die. You all have been dreadfully mean to me.
I Hate you. All of you. None of you will ever get to see a womans chest meat or finger blast hott cougies like me.
Fuck you all. Consider this my resignation.

Sorry...just processing this all now. I forgot this was dropping today, ha.
There are some peculiar shyte adds here (Skrillex, Die Antwoord, Wallpaper) and some bands that are either meh (Sean Hayes, the jam/reggae bands, Bloc Party/sorry, they suck live) and quite a few that I don't know (although Caveman is now a must-see for me at this...damn, I like them!). This lineup may not keep me at stages all day, but for those sets I do attend, I will be pretty fucking excited. I'll have more time to hang out with friends that are less crazed than I (usually) am at festivals so this will be an interesting change for me.
Bmack, let's talk.
In my fairytale land they would combine this lineup with pitchfork.
There were a decent amount of adds last year after the lineup was announced. I believe both the shins and clap your hands and say ya were added. I wouldn't be too surprised to someone of that level gets added?
Anyone have any idea on who is playing on what day based off of tour dates? Sigur ros is showing that they are playing on saturday
One last thing...to those people that I may have flamed for the "friend of a friend heard that Stevie Wonder, Metallica and Neil Young are headlining"....I humbly bend over and accept my lashings. Damn straight.
there's a few, and while Jack, stevie, and neil will jam... they don't pull hippies like phish and further.. I think it's a good thing.
I agree, it's very distinct from other festivals... this pleases me also. Excited!
and since the quality is dispersed , there will be plenty of time to wander around, get drunk in winelands, and wind through the food forest.
I have a feeling they will add Theivery Corp and Beats Antique
This is going to be fun. The headliners are kind of throwing me for a loop, but I suppose it will spread the crowd at the end of each night.
Yeah, Jack White and hippies in the same sentence is just silly. Whatevs. And, people...get on his new one now. Shit is amazing (and I'm *not* a fanboy).
I'll take crusty hippies ANY day over fans of Skrillex, Die Antwoord and Justice.
10/29 Hot Chip @ The Fox Theatre
11/07 Rufus Du Sol @ The Mezzanine (?)
11/13 Mr Little Jeans @ The Rickshaw Stop
11/20 Keep Shelly in Athens @ Awaken
God, please not Thievery/Beats Antique. I like your other suggestion of adding more P4k Fest artists. Enough of those other two already...fucking played out!
Those fans (Skrillex/Die Antwoord/Justice) will be on the other side of GGP when we're digging on Neil Young and Stevie. I am behind this sort of segregation. I just hope Neil Young's new LP w/Crazy Horse is solid and Stevie still has his marbles intact for a headlining set. Good thing is that he has the money and cache to get the production/guests in order.
Im not even a Metallica or Foos fan, but if I saw them at a fest I was already going to for other bands (and theres MORE than enough of those here) I would have a blast watching them

I will most likely skip Metallica, but I haven't seen Foos since they supported someone back in the 90's (can't remember who now). Does Grohl ever get behind the kit during FF sets? I sure hope so because he is just something on the drums. He was amazing at Coachella with Them Crooked Vultures. Just blew my mind.
