Please give Bruce a 3.5 hour set so I have 3.5 hours to be somewhere else. The conflicts are the only tough part of this fest, I walked my ass off.

I know he's a legend, but I didn't enjoy Bruce very much at Roo. Left early to get a great spot for NIN, which was amazing.
m a big bruce springsteen fan so ill take 2-3 hrs anytime. i thought he was solid at bonnaroo. especially when he did santa claus is coming to town. that was a rarity!
put bruce on one side and on the other put Primus and Faith No More! i would be fast walking my ass off!!
Where's our make up show?
Yeah, that sucked. And then Badu was almost an hour late too. The Friday of the fest was really kinda busted with shitty weather, inferior line-up, and no shows.
And like Zimmy said, where is our make up show?
It was a real shame because the Big Boi show at the Indy was one of the most fun concerts I went to this year.
Coldplay dates make them seem plausible.

So Coldplay and The Boss, zomg....
What weekend do you think the festival falls on next year? The 10th-12th? or 17th-19th?
never miss this fest. the newcastle werewolf was a nice treat. philz coffee w/ jameson is the jam. this year was pretty special. the line up, weather and great company.
6/24 deltron 3030 slim's
6/29 baths great american music hall
07/21 david byrne & st vincent fox theater
07/26 the postal service greek theater
07/31 run the jewels the independent
08/09-11 outside lands music festival
09/19-23 $ymbiosis gathering
10/19-20 treasure island music festival
With the coachella lineup out now, anybody have any inclinations on who they think will play at OSL? There is usually a decent amount of overlap between the two festivals. Radiohead a better or worse possibility now?
I think OSL will be Aug 10th-12th. Lolla is the weekend before (Aug 3-5), and the last few years they've taken place on consecutive weekends.
So:
Radiohead
Bruce Springsteen
Coldplay
Eh? Looks good to me.

The problem with this lineup are that these are three huge names. Look at the years prior to this one: 2011 - Phish, Muse, Arcade Fire 2010 - Further, Kings of Leon 2009 - Pearl Jam, Dave Matthews Band, Beastie Boys 2008 - Radiohead, Tom Petty, Jack Johnson
I think the three of these are way too big to be all headlining this festival. Other than that, Radiohead and Coldplay both have west coast legs of their tour in April... Perhaps it's too early for them to be back. The final thing is, could Radiohead be the first returning headliner of Outside Lands?
I'm just trying to use logic on this one. This would be an AMAZING lineup for Outside Lands. I would especially love to see Radiohead since their show in San Jose got sold out in the first minute, but I'm trying not to get my hopes up again in order to not be let down so much, after getting sold out of that Radiohead show. I think, at best, we can hope for two of these headliners.
Radiohead headlining again won't happen. If they somehow managed to get Bruce (or an artist of his stature) and Coldplay, I'd expect the third to probably be something for the hippie crowd. What bands could headline that fall into the Phish/Further mold?
Are there actual Bruce rumors or is this just speculation?
If they book this band called The Killers or this band known as Coldplay I'll so be there.
No but for reals this year could be amazing.
just the announcement that he'll be touring http://www.nj.com/entertainment/musi...firms_201.html
Widespread Panic could fit for the hippie headliner but I think they are on hiatus for a little bit. Plus I don't know how big they are on the West Coast. Maybe Roger Waters doing the Wall, but he is coming through in May as well.
They really did a great job last year with their mix of classic, modern indie, hip-hop, jam, and local acts. I actually have faith that they will give us another great line-up this year. Maybe they will beef up the electronic acts after seeing the huge responses to Deadmau5 and Girl Talk.
Looking too much into it. Coachella tickets went on sale and sold out on the day he tweeted.
