I actually guessed all 3 correctly on their Facebook page but didn't say Budd with Keith Lowe. Anyways, really solid additions. I'm even more excited now.
Bad news. Mouse On Mars is out.
Schedule is up. Not many conflicts on my end. How's everyone else looking?
Really let down with the schedule especially on Saturday. There really is no good reason for the festival to not begin until 7:00 pm each night. An earlier start by an hour or two would take for of at least some of the conflicts.
Yeah, the 7 o clock start makes things more difficult, now they have to squeeze all of that into 7 hours. Plus with all the extra time to kill its going to be a chore to not be totally shit faced by the time the first act begins.
I personally don't mind the later start time too much, gives me time to explode Asheville a bit but the fact that it's a smaller lineup spread out among 5 stages in a shorter amount of time makes the schedule a clusterfuck. I'm gonna end up missing a lot of names I wanted to see
Would anyone mind donating some floor space for me and a friend Thursday night? We will be getting in a night earlier than we planned and only booked rooms for friday and saturday night. We will have delicious beer and will split hotel costs for the night.
What an amazing weekend.. Everyone I saw was incredible but Pantha Du Prince and Prefuse 73 were the highlights of the festival for me.
Yeah dude, his set was awesome.,I loved that amen break stuff he busted out at the end too.
Richie Hawtin won that weekend for me
Moogfest continues to amaze me. What a weekend. Orbital blew my damn mind.
Here's some photos and reviews.
They posted announcements coming soon for 2014...
It's just amazing to me that it's 5 days now!

April 23rd to the 27th 2014, and they posted for a last call for artist requests before announcements so I can only assume part of the line up is coming soon.
They said tomorrow they are going to post what's coming and in 30 days post who's coming.
Okay, it's finally updated and artists coming in 30 days for 2014...
Moogfest was supposed to send out an update but I got this one from Ashvegas...
Ashvegas Hot Sheet: First look at Moogfest 2014
Dear Loyal Readers,
Here's your first look at what Moogfest 2014 will look like. Here are key points, including the fact that Asheville locals can buy a ticket to the full five-day event TODAY for just $99. Here you go:
-Date: Moogfest expands to a five-day event set for April 23-27, 2014 in Asheville
-Scope: Taking a page from the popular SXSW music/technology event in Austin, Texas, Moogfest will expand its focus to cover the convergence of technology, art and music. The scope will include futurists, artists and innovators.
-Ticket deal TODAY: Moogfest, in a nod to longtime local supporters, is offering a killer deal to Buncombe County residents TODAY: a five-day pass to the entire festival for $99. Residents have to go to the US Cellular Center with an ID and proof of residency to get the deal, starting at 11 a.m. It's an amazing deal. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Nov. 14.
-Music: Moogfest is still promising a killer music line-up, but there's no word yet on artists. Expect the first music line-up announcements to come in November.
-Job fair and tech expo: Moogfest has partnered with the North Carolina Technology Association (NCTA) to produce a first-of-its-kind tech expo and interactive job fair. The two-day event is designed to highlight North Carolina technology companies and promote economic development in the region. Tons of economic development potential here for Asheville.
As y'all know, Moogfest was put on hiatus this year after Asheville-based Moog Music, the owner of the Moogfest name, parted ways with promoter AC Entertainment. The two had partnered to stage Moogfest in Asheville. It was an electronic dance music festival spread across several Asheville venues each of the past three years.
But Moog Music President Mike Adams wanted a different direction for the event, thus the parting of the ways. AC Entertainment decided to do its own electronic dance music festival, called Mountain Oasis Music Summit. That event is coming up at the end of this month.
The new Moogfest has been retooled to reflect the roots of Moog Music and that company's famous founder, inventor Bob Moog. From the upcoming Moogfest press release:
"The mission is for Moogfest to better reflect the values of its namesake, Bob Moog. Beyond the nightly world class music programming, the platform of talks, panel discussions and presentations, film screenings, art installations, and technology competitions, establish Moogfest as a hybrid festival that encourages conversation, experimentation and collaboration between music pioneers, technology professionals, influential thinkers, new media artists, electronic music instrument makers and creative enthusiasts."
This is exciting news, folks. Much more coming soon. Stay updated on Moogfest through www.moogfest.com and on Facebook at www.facebook.com/moogfest.
I hope the music is still concentrated into 2-3 days.
Looks like it's 5 days of music and the $99 deal is open to everyone. I just got their mailer.

It would be tough to swing all five days with this being the same month as Coachella. Hopefully the lineup doesn't tempt me too much.
It's great that with the 5 days they are seemingly making it a more inclusive festival for locals, but man that sucks for an out of state traveler like myself.
It's probably cheaper to book the venues 5 nights in a row as opposed to having to staff them all day for 3 days.
8/7/16 - Sufjan Stevens @ Hollywood Bowl // 8/8/16 - Radiohead @ Shrine // 8/8/16 - Boris @ Regent
9/14/16 - Wilco @ Theatre at Ace Hotel // 9/18/16 - Kraftwerk @ Hollywood Bowl
The $99 passes for locals and the email list is already sold out.
