Great adds, so is this the complete line up?
I'm going, I've booked a hotel, if anyone wants to split the costs PM me.
Cool! I booked one of the hotels that's walking distance to the festival.
Which Hotel and what was your price?
The four points Sheraton, I don't remember the price but it's for 3 nights, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, I'm taking the red eye Thursday night and getting in Friday morning. They are letting me check in early at no extra charge on Friday morning.
I'll have to look through my records to find the price.
Looks like that hotel is booked...
I think it was around $500 for 3 nights, double occupancy. As I said, if someone wants to split it, I got 2 beds.
flying lotus just got added. if i was on the east coast id go for sure.
the music is what its all about, you love it just like i love it.
I can't believe they are adding more:
And, yes, we have a handful of super cool additions to the line up yet to announce...and we haven't told you about this year's outdoor venue yet, have we? All in good time...all in good time...)
This thing just keeps getting better!
Adding More Awesome To Your Day: Neon Indian, Emancipator, and Shahzad Ismaily Join Moogfest 2011 Lineup
I'm still half-ass expecting Portishead but not to the point that I'd be disappointed if they aren't added. This is going to be an awesome weekend.
Who's dressing up?
No point in hoping, already been announced they aren't being added.
I may be there for this. I've got the days off work, I'm just waiting for a friend of mine to commit.
Gotta see Suicide and Tangerine Dream.
Even more additions!
More Newly-Announced Artists To Thrill and Chill: The Field and Marley Carroll join the Moogfest 2011 Lineup
Anyone have any guesses?
Whispers abound of another cool announcement coming your way ...a true musical icon of the past century presenting one of his legendary (but very rate these days) concerts of his electronic music...hint: though not a "rock" musician, this person had an absolutely massive influence on the music of Pink Floyd and the Who and, yes, on Brian Eno too. Stay tuned!
Okay, so they announced it.
Iconic Composer and Performer Terry Riley and son Gyan Riley Join Lineup
One of the most monumental and influential musical figures of the past century – the composer and performer Terry Riley– will be joining the Moogfest line up this year, presenting a special concert. Although he has chosen to perform mostly acoustic in recent years, Riley will present a rare concert of his legendary electronic keyboard music, including his remarkable "A Rainbow In Curved Air," the visionary work which shaped and inspired the music of Pink Floyd, the Who, and countless others, including fellow Moogfest icons Hans-Joachim Roedelius, Tangerine Dream, and, of course, Brian Eno.
Riley’s son, the outstanding guitarist, performer and composer Gyan Riley, will also join him in concert. Gyan’s most recent work, Stream of Gratitude, was released on John Zorn's Tzadik label earlier this year.
