I understand the argument that many make for dubstep, and I feel sorry for people who have to defend the good side of the genre from accusations that it is indeed the bastardized version that has become so prevalent this side of the pond.
After doing my own ranting and raving about how much I hate "artists" who rely off assaulting their audiences with constant bass wobbles, I finally came to the conclusion that like all genres, there is good and bad. Dubstep has some truly terrible music that is promoted under its banner, but there is a lot of good in it too. I am utterly tired of the crap being spewed from Skrillex, Datsik, etc.
However, great stuff comes out everyday. Sometimes you just have to look for it. My newest favorite, Sepalcure:
So, if I'm signing to rid us of wobble loving brainlessness, then yes, I'm happy to sign. I'd really like to see Burial, Sepalcure, etc. I wouldn't call myself informed of the genre, but I'd be doing it a disservice if I didn't at least try to explain my view.
