So, after sleeping non-stop for the last two days, recovering, and not wanting to face the real world, I decided to post some tips that I've learned over the years to overcome the PCD. Please add to this if you have some good tips.
1. Cut the wristband off. As bad as you don’t want to, you have to. As beautiful as it is, it only a reminder of what is over.
2. Talk about how awesome Coachella was. This only works if you talk to people who were there. Non-Coachellites don’t understand and they get annoyed and fuck them anyway. If you don’t have friends nearby to talk to, talk to a pet, stuffed animal or a doll. I’ve been talking to the smiley green palm tree on the Coachella T-shirt I bought this year.
3. Discover new music. As bad as you want to listen to your Cut Copy or Kanye playlist, don’t do it! It’s too early. Give it a few weeks. For new music try KCRW, JJJ, Pitchfork or the iTunes Indie Spotlight.
4. Find something in the future to look forward to. Austin City Limits, here I come!
