Heard stories but never eaten at In and Out. These types of tales are the stuff of Urban Legend in Canadia.
I had my first In-N-Out burger after the fest and it was delicious. Surely folks will argue this but I think Five Guy's has them beat!
in-n-out is coming to northern texas...
I am from Canada and try to hit in n out burgers every time I am in California.
At this year's Coachella, I chowed down on it after every night on the way back to our hotel in Palm Springs (the quick exit from VIP parking made it possible to make it before they closed - thanks GV!)
Five Guys is good and all, but to get burger fries and a drink there is about $10. In-N-Out Double Double meal is under $6.50.
We stop by Nessy Burgers on our way home every year. Right off the 15 on the 76. It's basically a trucker stop.

We stopped at In-n-out on our drive back up north after Coachella.
I had In-n-Out today.... soooooo bomb.
We always stop at In N Out right after we land in San Diego. One of my favorite parts of the Coachella adventure. Really wish we had it out here on the east coast.
Jesus told them to stay out of the Devil's country
I love that in n out by the airport.
Whiskey Sour
2 oz blended whiskey
Juice of 1/2 lemon
1/2 tsp powdered sugar
1 cherry
1/2 slice lemon
Shake blended whiskey, juice of lemon, and powdered sugar with ice and strain into a whiskey sour glass. Decorate with the half-slice of lemon, top with the cherry, and serve.
As a native Southern Californian I have an appreciation for In-N-Out that many of you will never understand.
You can get a lot of really good burgers in SoCal, and really anywhere in the U.S. for that matter. But In-N-Out is by far the best value for your dollar. You can get a delicious meal for about $6. And they are open late.
I'm hungry.
