Hopefully it's better staffed and organized than last year. They had a great lineup and not much else. The worst vendors I've ever encountered at any festival or event in my life - waited 45 minutes for a $10 frozen pizza that tasted like shit. 30 minute wait to get into the beer garden, and another 30 minutes standing in line for a beer, only to have them announce that they were out of beer once I reached the front of the line (this was around 8pm.) I ended up settling for two glasses of shitty red wine, which may have been a blessing in the end since two beers would have sent me directly to end of another enormous line for the bathrooms. At least the music was good.
^What he said^
If the lineup is as good as last year's, I'll be there. It'll have to be pretty darn good though cause that festival was terribly run
Regardless i'll be there, this is one of my favorites, but they really need to take it a step up in regards to everything you all are talking about. Not to mention, the sound.
They should have never made FYF such a huge fest.
Is one of the bands on the lineup going to be OneHourWaitFor4DollarWater?
At least after Clusterfuckchella last year, Paul and GV owned up to some mistakes and showed a public commitment to fixing them. I’ve seen no ownership from the Sean Carlson in regards to last year’s FuckYouFest. The only hint of anything that reasonables admitting to mistakes was in that COS article, and even that still had the tone of ‘don’t worry we got this’ and ‘people on the web talk shit’.
Even with a good lineup, I'll want to see specifics as to what will be different this year. Otherwise, no thank you.
Nope, not interested in paying to be miserable.
I don't think I'm going to waste my time at this festival again. They started charging for ice since people refused to pay for water. I feel bad for the people I saw passed out from the heat. :/
Weekend 2
Blur / Passion Pit / Tegan & Sara / Stars / Purity Ring / Beardyman / Of Monsters and Men
Postal Service / Hot Chip / New Order / TDCC / Franz Ferdinand / Violent Femmes / SMD / The 2 Bears
Vampire Weekend / La Roux / Adrian Lux / Tanlines
('07-'13)
I'll happily arrive early and I'll know what to expect. Good music and nothing else. That was a packed lineup and I bought my early bird ticket for $25 (including fees & shipping).
I snuck in cliff bars and refilled that water bottle i bought early in the day. Big whoop. I wasn't going to the Fuck Yeah Fest expecting this year's choice brew and gourmet dinner. Too good of a deal for me to pass up!![]()

Last year was my first FYF. The bands were decent, and the comedy tent was a nice way to get out of the heat. The thing that pissed me off was that there were emails sent out ahead of time stating that there would be somewhere around a dozen food trucks available.
Well, when we got there I think I only remember seeing two, and neither one were appealing to me or my wife. We stood in a pretty long line at the food court for those awful pizzas.
The sad thing is that despite all that, I would probably consider going back this year.
Fuck no fest.
I say Odd Future because they're a local group and they were at a SXSW showcase curated by FYF. It just seems likely to me.

i know, i know. my own fault.
Guys, guys...it costs $25. You get what you pay for. If you want there to be more/better staff, better food, and an overall better atmosphere, then be prepared to fork out more of your hard earned money.
