New ETID!
I never really liked Every Time I Die on record, but they're an absolute blast live.
You mentioned hopesfall. a little bit ago Sppoks - I saw a terrific gig with hopesfall. headlining and ETID opening in probably 2002. It was pretty awesome.

Is everyone here aware of an up and coming trend of Tr00 Pop Punk?
DREAM BIGGER
What does that even mean? Is "Tr00" a term I should be aware of?

As in shirts with AKs that read in that annoying white all caps bold font "Defend Pop Punk"
Also a lot of guys alternating between beating their chests with fists and grabbing their own shirts aggressively while singing along at the shows.
Tr00 and Kvlt are usually terms reserved for metal, a lot of your old school metal like say Manowar is considered Tr00. In this context I have no idea besides the stuff already said in this message.

Also, Drinky. I posted this last page but I wanted to direct it towards you. Think you might be into it.

True true. ETID's records after Hot Damn were "over-produced" in my opinion but whenever I see them live, they're one hell of a band!
I remember seeing that tour in 2002 as well but I think Thursday headlined with Hopesfall/Every Time I Die/Norma Jean supporting that show
ps Bmack and whoever enjoys Thursday still, I spoke with Tom before their show on Friday and they're thinking about doing 5 west coast shows in couple months![]()
Awesome! I wasn't in love with Thursday's 2011 album, but it was decent. i got to see them play Full Collapse in its entirety back in the day, and it was so good. the first time was in the 400-500 capacity Troubadour (same place as that hopesfall/ETID show) with Open Hand and Pretty Girls Make Graves, and the second time in a bigger club on the Take Action/Plea For Peace 2 tour with Cursive, Lawrence Arms, Poison The Well, and Common Rider. The package tours used to be so awesome. I think the last time I saw Thursday was opening up for Rise Against 4 or 5 years ago.

I haven't seen Thursday since 2004, but I would probably check them out again. They were a lot of fun back in the day. Particularly loved their Coachella set. Geoff passed out from the heat, got right back up and continued the show.
I caught Thursday this last year because they were playing Full Collapse in its entirety. I think they were opening for Converge, but I left just after Thursday played because I was spiteful that they were deemed openers. Thursday put on a great show though. As far as albums go I thought A City by the Light Divided had some great tracks, but was their last good album. War All the Time was their last great album. Waiting and Full Collapse are in a category of their own. I still wish I could have seen them play "Dying In New Brunswick" live. In fact, regrettably, I never saw anything from Waiting live.
RAPE STOVE
white power?!
I've seen Thursday something like 6 or 7 times and i've never never seen any Waiting tracks live. That Plea For peace show was a benefit for a suicide prevention hotline at which Geoff had a really nice little speech about how terrible suicide is and how it impacts people all around you, and I was eagerly anticipating them to play "Porcelain" afterward (which is literally about that)...and they didn't. I was kind of pissed off about it.

Just watched a documentary/live concert of this band Pigface... Seriously what the fuck?! A supergroup recycling awesome musicians and talentless junkies... Trent Reznor, Danny Carey, Flea, Black Francis, Jello Biafra.... the list goes on forever.
I just don't understand music like this for some reason. I fast forwarded through about 45 mins out of an hour.
Pigface is so fucking awesome. I saw them for their 1oth anniversary tour in the early 2000s and it was just insane. Meg Lee Chin and Chris Connely were particularly great that night.

I saw NOFX tonight. I was hoping for one of the new covers, but no such luck. There were a lot of glaring omissions from their set, but they still put on a hell of a show.
This ain't no middle of the mall shit.
Did Fat Mike shit himself? He was talking about it on twitter... Did they do Decline or anything "special"?
Nothing special, he did have to take a 10 minute shit break mid set. He keeps Preparation H wipes in his pocket, PUNK ROCK!
This ain't no middle of the mall shit.
That guy... He said on twitter the other "gotta practice the Decline for Jan 17th in LA and Jan 9th in SD" Oddly specific huh?
If it actually happens in SD I'll have to grab a ticket for the 17th show too. Never seen that one.
So there was already some NOFX talk in here. Good show tonight at the HOB. They're always hilarious and were playing well together this evening. Glad they brought some of the hits for my brother since it was his first time seeing them. El Hefe and Fat Mike said Tuesday (the 17th) is Decline day and there are tickets still available, so good day to go! Mike almost did it tonight but the drummer called it off.
