They generally stay in place during the songs themselves, but they tend to move and shift position when the lights go out and right before the next song plays.

I just picked up tickets for the Camden show and the Newark shows.

Anyone else going to be there? 8^)

I'll be at Camden... Where did you pick up tix? Stubhub? CL? I found sec 100 seats impossible to find - I'm trying to trade up, so to speak.

I'll be in Newark Friday June 1, not even one week after DEMF. This summer is gonna be overload.

They do not move during the songs. They move in between songs. The only song they move during the song is when Bloom begins. So go search all you want.

Sorry for spamming this in every RH thread, but need to sell our extra tix to San Jose show:

My friend & I managed to get Floor tix from Waste when they released some extras last week, so we each have single seats to sell.

Mine is Sec 211 Row 8, the other is Sec 216. Both hard tickets, selling for face $85. I'm in Fremont, but my friend's in Sac, so prolly have to meet us at the show for that one. PM me if interested.

Also, compare KoL to, say, It's Hard or Undercover or Never Let Me Down or Human Touch or Pop, it'll show you things could be a hell of a lot worse.
Your post is inspiring me. I was planning to wander over for the 2nd half of their set, but maybe I'll watch the whole thing with low expectations and hope to be re-energized as well. I really am just not into the whole minimal electronic sound they have taken on. I know everybody on here loves that shit and would probably jizz over an album of Thom farting into the mic, but I like guitars and I wish Thom would save this sound for his solo project, but so be it. I was in a bad mood today and listened to the Bends and it still brought a smile to my face after all these years, so fuck it.

Ummmmm, are you actually thinking that they arent using any guitars on the new material during shows? They use alot of guitars on all the new stuff. Its not just them on keyboards and synths looking like dj's or some shit. Everyone thought they would be like that during Kid A, but they ended up using a ton of guitars. This is the same thing. I dont know how you would doubt their abilities as a live act to not redo all the songs from an album and make them different in a live setting. Im being objective here btw. You yourself have seen them in their prime as a live act, so I dont know why you are just thinking they suck like shit now as a live band because the new album is not to your liking.

Im not angry at all. Im just pointing out something a lot of people feel about because they just dislike the album. If I was mad at you, it wouldve been like a 5 paragraph ramble defending what they are doing. You'll dig it, you'll see in a month.

What on earth does that have to do with anything? Dale saw the new material live last week, and thinks (as do I) that it sounds a lot better live. Whether you've been to 100 shows or 1 is beside the point.
    5/01 - Sleater-Kinney - Palladium
    5/03 - Lightning Bolt/Liturgy - Echoplex
5/05 - Thee Oh Sees - The Smell
    5/08 - The Acid - El Rey (?)
    5/14 - Melody's Echo Chamber - Roxy (?)

I never doubted it would sound "better" live. I think most of their stuff is better live. Not to mention on the main stage sound system. But KoL would have to be A LOT better to make it awesome for me. And even if it's somewhat enjoyable, it's still taking away from time they could be playing some of their older material. But yea yea, I know, they need to evolve and keep themselves interested...I get it. I just wish they had a little bit more balance between old and new. Whatever, I hope they prove me wrong, and I'm sure I'll still have fun. But if there's any interesting conflicts I might have to miss the beginning...we'll see. Their stage setup looks pretty cool though. I can't wait to check that out as well.

Let me put it this way: KoL was probably my 2nd-to-last favorite album, right above Pablo Honey, before I saw them live. Now, I absolutely love the album. Once you hear Bloom and Feral live you'll see what I mean. Easily 100x better sounding live than on the CD.
